New Year, New February RP?

I winced and tried to get out.

I grabbed his machete and cut him down, one swing to the ropes holding him. He didn't move. I dropped the sword before me and my partner started to leave.

I tried to get the tape off.

Cephas: I was barely conscious, barely aware of my surroundings. It was hard to open my eyes, and it was harder to not let myself fall asleep here and now.

I finally got enough tape off that I could kind of talk, “Cephas!”

I groaned in response, opening my eyes a little more. "Kenzie?" I muttered, slowly regaining my cognative abilities to function.

“Cephas, help, please.”

I opened my eyes, things swimming in and out of focus. I tried moving my arms, only to find they were tied up in front of me. I looked around for the machete, trying to get rid of the blurriness.

They hadn’t let me down and my arms were hurting.

I shook my head and dragged myself over to the machete. I quickly cut the rope around my wrists before cutting the tape at my ankles. I used a tree to pull myself up and I stumbled over to Mackenzie. "It's alright," I muttered, my voice kinda sluggish as I untied her wrists. The second she was down, I collapsed.

I ran over and grabbed my EMT bag.

I started to close my eyes.

I carefully checked his injuries.

Everything started to go dark. I hurt to do a lot of things, like breathe or move in any way.

I treated him the best I could with what I had available to me.

I slowly opened my eyes after a while and looked at her. "You okay?"

I nodded and kept bandaging.

I closed my eyes and listened to the woods. "There's water near," I whispered, nearing the soft stream noises in the distance.

I nodded, “We need to get to the water.”

"You need to. I can't move. It's a few yards to the south of here."

I nodded and handed him the lance, then ran to the water with a purifier and bottles.

I looked at the lance in my hand before dropping it. I closed my eyes for a second before opening them. Something was resting in the branches above head. It was a large box, but the question was, what did it contain? Hopefully something useful.

I came back with the water and kept patching him up.

I tried to give her a smile. "You act like this is the first time a young black man was attacked for no reason," I muttered, not really able to speak loudly.

“Not funny.” I kept working.
