Dragon Born Reboot

Leandro: I gave a small smile, looking at her. "Yeah, who needs their mom, especially when she turns out to be some homicidal manic who doesn't even give a crap that you exist?" I muttered, shifting their gaze down.
Alexander: "Thank you," I returned when I got my sandwich.
Octavia: "My mama's good. How can I not believe her when she told me my dad was trash because he choose to leave? Why shouldn't I believe he's the one who abandoned us?"

Marina: “I’m sorry.”
Regan:  I sat next to him to eat.
Alex: “I’m not saying he didn’t abandon us. He regrets it and cares about our wellbeing though.”

Leandro: I gently pulled her into a hug and hid my face behind her shoulder.
Alexander: I looked at our dragons, who took turns running through the fire, not unlike children running through active swing sets.
Octavia: "When I see proof, then I'll believe it."

Marina: I hugged him back carefully, “I’m sorry she didn’t turn out the way you hoped.”
Regan: “Think we can train them to be on our side?”
Ash: “You should talk to him sometime.”

Leandro: I tried to make my crying silent. "It's okay," I whispered.
Alexander: "I think they are, they just don't totally know the difference between what's best for us and what's Rondris's agenda."
Octavia: I didn't reply. I didn't exactly want to talk to our father, but I also wanted answers.

Marina: I tightened my grip a bit, “I can still be sorry.”
Regan: I nodded slightly.
Ash: I sighed softly, “Or don’t.”

Leandro: I nodded a bit and closed my eyes.
Alexander: "They're too cute to be diabolical." I finished my sandwich.
Octavia: "I don't know."

Marina: I relaxed a bit.
Regan: “Yeah.”
Ash: “Ok.”

Leandro: I pulled away and looked at her. I gently brushed my thumb against the bandage on her cheek. "Are you okay?"
Alexander: I crunched some chips, looking around. "So... about us? Are we okay?"
Octavia: I sighed. "I'm too confused, Ash. I don't know what to think right now."

Marina: I nodded slightly, “I’m ok.”
Regan: I nodded, “Yeah, sorry, I’m just kinda tired.”
Ash: “Thats why you get as much information as you can, like we did as kids when we were confused about why the mythics were treated the way they were.”

Leandro: I leaned in and kissed her forehead. "I'm sorry she did that to you."
Alexander: "You should get some rest. It's been a really long day."
Octavia: "I know," I muttered. "Promise you won't go running off again, though? You scared me to death."

Marina: “It’s ok, not your fault.”
Regan: I nodded a little, “Yeah.”
Ash: “I’m happy to know you care. Sorry for scaring you.”

Leandro: "I can still be sorry," I quoted. I smiled wearily before leaning in to kiss her for a second. "Get some sleep. You must be tired."
Alexander: I stood up and held my hand out to her.
Octavia: "Of course I care. You've been my brother for years before we discovered we were dragons. You were always there. When our moms worked late nights, you stayed and helped me with my homework."

Marina: I nodded slightly, “You too.”
Regan: I slipped my hand in his and stood up.
Asher: “We’ll yeah, I couldn’t let you fail.”

Leandro: I nodded for another second before I kissed her again, slowly moving my hands to wrap my arms around her.
Alexander: I led her over to the tents. I kissed her hand before letting go to get to the guy's tent. "Goodnight," I called lightly.
Octavia: "Yeah, and I couldn't let those other kids kick your scrawny butt because you were so passionate about mythic rights."

Marina: I smiled a bit and kissed him back.
Regan: “night.”
Asher: “Still am.”

Leandro: It felt nice, especially when our kiss got so interrupted by far last time. I gently trailed my hands up her back, unknowingly ghosting my fingers over the shallow gash on her back.
Alexander: I ducked into the tent and crawled into my sleeping back. Terriam scampered over and nestled into the bag against my side.
Octavia: "We all are."

Marina: I flinched slightly when he touched the cut.
Regan: I held Sanabit close as I drifted off.
Asher: “It just doesn’t always seem like it.”

Leandro: I pulled away quickly. "I'm sorry," I muttered, scooting away from her a bit.
Octavia: I swatted his arm again. "You gotta get out of this "bad boy loner" mentality you have. You got us, you always have us, Ash. You know that."

Marina: “It’s ok, not your fault.”
Ash: I sighed a bit, “I guess.”

Leandro: I nodded and kissed her cheek before standing up and walking to my tent.
Octavia: "Boy, don't make me light you on fire."

Marina: “Night.”
Ash: “As if I’d burn. I don’t know Tavia it kinda feels like you guys gave up on mythical rights.”

Leandro: "Buenos noches, mamacita," I called, ducking into my tent.
Octavia: I literally wanted to shake him. "I can't forget basic rights and my constant lack of them when I have to live my life as a black woman. Neither can Leandro as a brown man or Regan and Marina as women."

Regan: I curled up in my sleeping bag.
Ash: “It’s been years since all six of us tried starting any kind of protest. We use to do those all the time, remember?”
