Where we come from

I rested my mouth and nose in her hair. Wow... her hair smelled amazing... how to describe it... Was this how sunshine smelled?

((Well, she does condition her hair regularly, so yes.))

I breath in deep, he smell... Well I don't know. Like, musk, from cologne, I guess. Either way, it was my new favorite scent. Note to self, steal jacket he is wearing.

((...How? There's no plumbing to shower with, and conditioner would be very scarce and hard to get to. It's post-apocalyptic.))
((He doesn't wear cologne. I don't wear cologne. Who wears cologne?)) 
"Your hair smells amazing." My voice was a bit muffled from my mouth being covered by her head.

((One: It was a joke. Two: I imagine a musky scent from hard training and exercise. I said it was LIKE cologne.))

"Thanks, can I borrow your jacket later?"

((Okay... the musky smell guys get from hard training and exercise is very different than pretty boy perfume though.))
"Of course." I smiled.

((I've never smelled cologne! I have a very weak sense of smell, most of the time, no sense of smell.))

I smiled and tilted my head up to look at him.

I had to take my nose away from her hair to look down at her, but I smiled. Her face was so pretty...

I stood on my toes to peck his lips again. Why was he so tall?

I bent down and made the kiss last. I loved the way I felt when I was kissing her... Like everything was alright...

I wonder if he felt the same way I did, like everything will be alright. That there might be a chance we could live normally.

I pulled away, smiling. "You're an amazing kisser."

"No where near as good as you. Tell me, did you practice for me?"

I raised an eyebrow. "One, I doubt it. Two; I do have practice... again, drug lord parents... if your children are in a relationship as a gang-banger, you're more likely to deal with their parents."

I nodded. "You are, believe it or not, my first kiss. My leather jacket and sarcasm tended to scare men off."

"Uh... since when are you dating men?"

"I wasn't."

"Okay, flirting with men? We're still children till we're at least twenty."

"Nope. Men flirted with me, that kind of thing. I purposefully scared them, or annoyed them off."

"Men do not flirt with sixteen-year-old girls... unless they're petifiles."

"Now you know why I scared them off."

"so why didn't you flirt with sixteen year old boys?"

"I didn't have an interest in boys or anything romantic. Until now."

"Ah." I grinned and moved closer till our noses were touching again. "Well, I'm honored to be the first. You're the first girlfriend I've had I actually want to be with."

"Well, might I say, I'm honored as well."

I smiled softer and put my forehead against hers. "Thank you."
