I looked out. Nothing. I pulled out my knife and got out of the car. "I'm gonna go get some extra gallons of gas inside."

I quickly found some gallons. Four of them, though, that's all that was left.

Once the truck was full I filled up the empty gallon containers I had and put them in the bed of the truck.

I found a few maps of the US and Pennsylvania. I grabbed them and walked back out.

I made it back into the car. I handed her the maps. "Well, let's do this," I said, buckling my seatbelt and starting the ignition.

"One second." I finally found where we were and oriented the map correctly, "Yeah, we're going west."

"Good," I said, stepping on the gas a little harder. "So, we'll take shifts, driving right? I can drive during the day, you can drive during the night. How does that sound?"
