Nothing Left to Say

"Umm..." I listened to the song for a second and smiled, "Rachel Platten 'Fight Song'." I saw a couple walkers out in the distance and thought I recognized the one with blond curls, she looked about 15... "Stop! Just for a minute I need to check something! please!"

I hit the brakes and skidded to a stop. "What?"

I hopped out of the car and grabbed a picture and a shot full of the cure then sprinted toward the walkers like an idiot.

I jumped out of the car and ran after her. She was going to get herself killed and I only had my knife!

They were far enough apart that I was able to get the blond to come toward me while I compared it to the picture.

I pulled out my knife, but ended up tripping, luckily, not stabbing myself.

"Lizzy," I whispered quietly before stuffing the picture in my pocket, I backed up a bit carefully stepping over a root then backing up more, Lizzy came toward me and ended up tripping I quickly and carefully injected her then helped Tony up.

"The heck? Are you trying to kill yourself?" I whispered harshly.

"Of course not."

"Then why did you do that?"

I carefully took the picture out of my pocket and handed it to him.

I looked at it.

Lizzy groaned a bit out of pain and I immediately helped her up.

I looked at the girl she cured and back at the picture. "She's your sister."

I nodded slightly and hugged Lizzy tightly. "Hey sis," I heard her mumble while she hugged me back.

I looked at them before at the walkers. They were slowly taking a notice to us. "Truck, now!"

I nodded again and let go of Lizzy then pulled her with me to the truck.

I ran back and climbed into the drivers side.

Lizzy climbed in the back seat carefully moving stuff so she could sit and I climbed in the passenger seat. Both of us shut our doors at the same time.

I fired up the engine and stepped on it.

I glanced back at Lizzy and smiled until she asked a question, "Where are Mom and Dad?" My smile immediately dropped, "Th-They're at my house."
"Nat I can tell when you're lying," she said quietly.
I closed my eyes tightly, "Why don't you get some sleep Liz I'll tell you later." She nodded and closed her eyes.

I glanced at the both of them.

Liz drifted off and I took a few shaky breaths to try and calm down.

"I'm sorry," I said again.

"It's ok, she doesn't know, she was able to run away."
