Nothing Left to Say

I stayed close to him.

Soon, we were standing in the porch. I slowly opened the door and stepped inside.

I was on guard as I stepped inside you never knew what was in these homes.

I winced as I saw glass bottles on the floor. Broken. Because I wasn't here to clean up after I was almost hit with it. I closed my eyes. I could almost hear it shattering.

I rubbed my thumb across his knuckles remembering that, that calmed most people down.

I calmed down a bit and pulled her along the halls. My gave lingered on one door in particular. The door to my old room. I kept walking until I found the room to the study. It's were he kept it. I opened the door.

There, on his desk, as plain as day, was the contact book. Wait, I smelled something beyond the horrible stench of old alcohol. "Duck!" I yelled at Natalie, pulling out a shot of the cure.

I immediately ducked trusting Tony completely.

I rushed over and injected the cure into the vein, or where one should be of a walker right behind Natalie. I pulled her back and grabbed the contact book and shoved it into my pocket. There was something familiar about this one, and I had an awful feeling about it.

I looked at the walker and nearly screamed, "We need to leave! Now! Before it's cured!

I couldn't move. I realized who I just had cured. I was frozen with fear.

I grabbed onto his hand tightly and pulled him with me.

I let her guide me just as it was almost done. "No, it can't be. Please, no!" I shouted.

"Shh! We don't need to draw more." I quickly pulled him to the truck and climbed in the driver's side.

I looked out. I heard a gunshot. His gunshot. From what I could tell, I think he just used that shotgun he used to hit me with to blow out a tire.

"I will infect him again if I have to, there are three spares one on the back one in the trunk and one underneath all the tools are in the trunk." I quickly jumped out of the car.

I got out as well. "How do you know him?"

"He was my boss." I had a gun in the glove compartment so I grabbed it.

"He was my foster dad," I said, loading my crossbow and taking aim, but he was no where to be seen. Suddenly, I felt something hit my head, knocking me to the ground. It hurt, but I wasn't unconscious. Then, I felt it. The cool feel of metal on my neck. He had his shotgun pointed at my throat. "You ungrateful brat," he growled.

"Hey!" I called drawing attention to myself, "Leave him alone." I aimed my pistol at him, he wasn't a walker anymore, but he was threatening Tony and would soon be threatening me which meant Liz was in danger so what choice did I have?

"Natalie, don't shoot," I said warningly. "Great. You're ungrateful and you hook up with her?!" He growled. I gave an involuntary whimper at that.

"I will if I have to," I said to Tony then looked at my old boss, "Put the gun down."

He jabbed it deeper into my throat. "Ladies first. You put your gun down, I put mine down," he said.
