How this site works!
Hi, Addie here. (Yes, I'm the nit-picky geek admin, Sorry.) I would like to profusely apologize for the awful design and layout of this site. I don't know if a forum was the best platform but, it works, it just takes getting used to. (Not to mention, it was free and all us admins are poor...) We love this site, I believe Role Play is the best practice for writing. It's friendly, collaborative and short. You almost never have writer's block because, when you do, you can just pass the talking stick over to another member on the site. Emotions become heavily involved because not only are you writing, you are also reading. You do not always have control of the plot but, sometimes you do. It's like a never seen before Choose-your-own-ending but, it wasn't planned out before you embarked on the journey of being the main character.
Character development is great because as relationships between characters evolve, so do relationships with the authors! Your characters become a part of you and you come to find that you are more like your characters than you ever thought.
Okay, Okay, I'm sorry, That was long.
(1-1.5: absolute basics; 2-3: The two uses[Individual and Collaborative]; 3-6: RPs 7:Absolute random 8-actions)
HOW TO FIND WHAT YOU WANT TO DO:
1) The Main page, found by clicking the quote/picture on the top or the very left button on the row of buttons (The one labeled "Index.) Has a list of EVERYTHING. (It's over whelming, I know.)
1.5) I suggest Posting an Introduction In "Introduce yourself" and reading through The rules in the "What to do" topic in the welcome section.
2) Writing individual stories Can be found in "Help" In the Welcome Section, "Summer stories" in the Stories section, or "Those stories you never finished."
3) (OUR FAVOURITE) Role plays are innumerable thanks to some big enthusiasts. Even us Admin can't keep up with how much some people post! Old topics used to archive everymonth but, now, the RPs just keep on going. Under "Monthly RPs" we used to start a new RP each month but, soon is became so much that RPs are now started on a whim.
4) The latest Topics widget on the right is a helpful tool. You can easily switch from topic to topic, seeing what has been posted on and what hasn't. It doesn't show everything, though.
5) You can find all of them in the "Collaborative stories Only" tab. You may notice that there seem to be MILLIONS of RPs. That's not entirely the case. RP topics "Split" when they get to a certain amount of pages. First splits are confusing. (Especially when I was one of the first users and no one had any idea what happened!) Each full split has a Red/Orange triangle next to it. (Some splits have been moved to the "Archives" which can be found on the bottom of the index page.) The Topics you want to pay attention to, are the ones that show up EVERYWHERE on the Latest Topics.
6) I don't suggest every trying to catch up on the RPs. There is just so much. If you are more than 15-15 pages behind, It might not be possible to catch up before A split has happened. To join, You may want to just throw your character in, knowing just as much as you do. Or, maybe you want to have someone give you a brief rundown of what has happened. Or, maybe you just want to wait until a new one starts.
7) Extra stuff under extra stuff can be used in any way you want. If you want to discuss a good book, movie, or show, I suggest scroling down to 'Fandom Support Network" and posting said Book/Movie/Show as a topic in that section.
8 ) Post by scrolling all the way to the bottom of a topic. Make new topics by clicking on the Black and Blue button under the section title but, above older topics on the left.
HAVE FUN!

IMPORTANT
UPDATE! It seems that with the new look, we lost the buttons up top that lead to various places around the forum! So sorry about that!

It's long, though, I got bored. That's the same reason I learned how to draw my own transmutation circles.

Yeah, I wish alchemy worked in this world, then I'd be able to turn water into ice, make something out of copper and iron, make something out of the earth and understand Roy Mustang's fire array. Except for the salamander. I'm reading a book to understand the salamander.
