City in the Sky

By the end of my shift, I was freaking out. I was tapping my pen on my desk, and my colleague noticed. "Hey, buddy, you okay?" Deputy Barney Fife asked. "Yeah, I'm fine. It's just my first day here, and I got a girlfriend at home, so I guess I just miss her." Fife nodded in understanding. "Hey, do you know this guy?" I asked, showing him the picture.
Long story short, I got directions and a name. Then, my shift ended. I rushed out and to my car. "I'm coming Madison!" I called as I slid across the hood and to the driver's side.

I started to wake up, but forced myself to act like I was still unconscious.

I raced over to the house, but stopped a block away, I didn't him to know I was coming. I dashed the rest of the way and snuck into the yard.

The guy either knew I was awake and got mad I hadn't opened my eye, thought I should be awake, or got mad, because he slapped me which immediately made me open my eyes.

I looked through the windows, and saw. It took all I could to not jump through the window and sucker punch him to the moon. Instead, I choked it all down and straightened my hair. I was still in uniform, so I thought of a plan. I rushed to the front door and rang the doorbell.

I relaxed a bit and tried to get out of the ropes as he left to answer the door.

((Sorry, I was just on a complicated phone call with my mother.))

I got a professional composure as he answer. "Hi, I'm Tristan Walker," I held up my badge. "I'd like to ask you a few questions about a girl that was passing by here. She seems to have gone missing."

I heard them talking and relaxed, Tristian knew I was here, I was safe.

The guy tried to pull of that "no, I haven't seen her" crap, and I tried controlling my temper. I pulled out a picture I had of Madison from the city. "You see, sir, this girl is of an importance to the government, so if you know anything, let me know." I gave him a card and walked away, making it seem like I was leaving.

I kept trying to get out, this idiot was good at tying knots.

The second I heard the door close, I rushed back to the yard of the house. Lying to a cop was a crime. I looked at the drainage pipe and the access it had to a second floor window. I smiled a bit. I started climbing it.

The guy seemed really pissed off when he came back, and to think I was going to save him from a ghost.

Light as could be, I snuck on the roof, and went to a window. I thanked my lucky stars that it was unlocked as I slid it up. I climbed in silently and pulled out my gun. I crept along, and to wherever the stairs were.

Great, yet another bully using me as their personal punching bag in order to get there anger out, hurry up Tristian!

The second I was down the stairs, I ran to the room she was in, and held up my gun. "Freeze!" I shouted, pointing it at him.

He knew he was in trouble so he did what all psychos do and took a hostage, me.

"I called my colleagues, they're on their way, so you might as well let her go!" I threatened, not lowering my gun. I tried really hard to keep my panic under control. Madison was hurt, and that made me angry and scared.

He didn't back down and I forced myself not to panic.

I didn't back down either. "Let. Her. Go." I growled, cocking the gun. "I've never missed a shot in my life, and I don't plan on it now."

I elbowed the guy in the stomach and got the chance to run away.

I quickly rushed over and covered Madison.

I stayed behind him.

I pulled out a pair of handcuffs. "Madison, take pictures, for court," I said, snapping the cuffs on him. I pulled out my phone and dialed 911.

I nodded and took a few pictures.
