Plague apocalypse RP

So this is another apocalypse RP only this one is a plague the title is pretty self explanatory... so... yeah

Alright, character:
James Blake
Looks: Sleeked back platinum blond hair, pitch black irises. Pale skin, well built, like a mechanic. Typically wears a t-shirt and jeans, or whatever jacket he can find and worn out sneakers.
Personality: Originally comes off as stubborn and kinda mean, but actually is a nice guy.

Name: Emily Larsen
Age: 17
Looks: Green eyes, black hair.  Pretty tan from being outside a lot.  Typically wears a blue short sleeve shirt with a jacket over it,  jeans and running shoes. 
Personality: Pretty closed off until she gets to know you.  Very protective of the people she cares about.  Won't take crap from anyone.

Name: Aiden Larsen
Age: 2 but he's almost 3 
Looks: Same black hair and green eyes as his sister.
Personality: Very quiet and Shy, stays close to Emily.

((Our characters will clash a lot since mine gives a lot of crap. So, how should we set the scene?))

I looked around, ugh, I hate going to the cities, but I needed supplies.

I swept pass the streets. I was on my bicycle, and it was a heck of a lot faster than running. I turned a corner, looking for supplies.

I tried really hard not to gag, after a while people stopped trying to bury the bodies so it smelled awful, especially in the cities.

I stopped after a minute and breathe deeply through my gas mask. I looked around. It was foggy, and it looked like it was late a night, despite it only being noon. I thought I heard footsteps in the distance, but I wasn't so sure. I pulled out a knife, just in case.

I kept walking and slipped into a store.

I continued biking until I pulled up to what looked like a decent enough store. I set my bike to the side and walked in.

I froze when I heard someone come in, people weren't always the nicest now.

I looked around before ducking down into a nearby isle. I heard them breathing. I crept around, looking for them.

I just needed to find some Water and something to eat, that's it. I forced myself to calm down and found I few water bottles and put them in my backpack. Then looked for some cans of food that were still good.

I found her. I grabbed a pack of whatever and threw it to her side, hoping to distract her.

I jumped a bit, but stayed focused, but also got ready to fight I found a few cans of soup and added them to my backpack.

I grabbed a can and threw it at her head, hopefully knocking her out... hopefully.

I quickly ducked.

I quickly ducked into the next isle so she wouldn't see me. She was smart.

I found a few treat like things that were good and some beef jerky which I added to my backpack along with as much bottled water as I could fit, then I quickly got out of there.

I watched her leave before I got all my supplies, which was water bottles, beef jerky, paper cups, a new toothbrush, more toothpaste, and the last pack of mint oreos.

I ran over and picked up my little brother then carried him away from the city.

I left and got on my bike then left the city.

I thought I heard a bike coming and quickly hid.

I stopped after a while and took deep breathes into my gas mask. It was getting dark, and it was getting colder. Stupid winter. I reached into one of my bags and pulled out my thicker jacket.

I looked at my brother he was shivering I held him closer and carried him into a building, luckily there were blankets, I wrapped him up in one, then looked for a coat his size.
