I set the tray down on the table, then felt along my ear. "Blast it! My hearing aid fell out in the kitchen. Lenora, can you help me search for it?"

I quickly followed her. Once we were in the kitchen, I pulled my hearing aid out of her pocket and placed it back in my ear. "That's a trick I've been working on for a while. What do you think?"
