Plague apocalypse RP

I gave her a smile. "Of course."

I started singing happy birthday to Aiden.

I sung along with her.

I finished the song and watched Aiden, "Make a wish sweetie." He closed his eyes tightly for a few seconds, then blew out the candles.

I smiled softly.

I took the candles out and have them each a cupcake.

"Thanks," I muttered.

I nodded slightly,  Aiden ate his cupcake quietly and I pulled out the dehydrated ice cream, this stuff was actually pretty good, you just had to sick on it.

"You know... I come from four generations of county winning ice cream makers. With the right ingredients, I can make the real thing."

"I don't think we have all the ingredients,  but I'll look."

"I can do a run, if you want. I'll even pick up stuff for a cake, all you have to do is give me a list and a car."

"Would a four wheeler work?"

"Yep!"

"We need eggs and milk for a cake... how are you going to get that?"

"I'll find a way."

I nodded a little and pulled out a cookbook,  I made a list of all the ingredients I needed then went through the cupboard and starred what we had, "I put a star by what we already have, but more can't hurt."

I nodded. "I'll go get an extra gas mask for my trip."

"If you pass a hospital it might be a good idea to grab all the masks you can find and bring more than one just in case. Oh and on each switchback when you're coming back, once you're above the smog layer, take your mak off for as long as you can so you can start getting use to the thin air."

I nodded. "Sounds good."

I woke Hospital on the list and put a line under it then wrote gas masks, medicine, bandages, anything else that you think would be useful. Then I handed him the list and the keys to one of the four wheelers.

"Thank you much, Miss."

I nodded slightly.

I gave her a smile before going up to my room to get a couple masks. I also grabbed a jacket, just in case.

I looked at the TV and decided to try turning it on,  it worked so I put a movie in for Aiden. I hadn't been lying when I said we had power,  that was why we also had a fridge that worked and hot water,  but we tried not to rely on it too much. We actually had a system in the basement that stored excess power and it had been going all year so I wasn't worried.

I walked back down, my excess mask dangling from my neck. I put my jacket on and walked into the garage.
