Nothing Left to Say

I woke up.

"Hi."

"Morning, sunshine."

I laughed a bit.

"What?"

"Sunshine, interesting choice."

"Why you say that?"

I turned my eyes black, then back to green, "That's why."

I looked down at his hand before gently grabbing it and placing my fingers in between his to hold hands. I clenched it as I looked up at him, "You promise that it won't change how you act around me? I don't want you to space yourself away from me just because you think you might hurt me."

I laughed. "Would you prefer cowgirl?"

"I... I promise." I leaned down and kissed his cheek softly, squeezing his hand lightly. "I won't space away and I won't act any different." I regretfully promised, I didn't know how else I could deal with my problems and keep Daniel safe, but I'd do anything he'd ask of me.

"I'm not a cowgirl..."

I took a deep breath before explaining what had happened. "Well, It was you. You were there, in the same state you were when you hurt Tony, but coming after me this time. I wasn't scared but I was mentally stable either, I couldn't exactly tell what I felt." I squeezed his hand a bit, remembering what he had done in my dream. "And then you did it, you hurt me, something I know you would never do. But I knew it wasn't you, but it was still you, and, ohh. You're so confusing, I'm sorry...." I said before pressing myself against his chest.

"My cowgirl? Little lady? The girl that's prettier than Carrie Underwood?

I laughed again.

I smiled. "Prettier than Miranda Lambert, Taylor Swift, and the Dixie Chicks combined!"

I laughed more and blushed a little.

I kissed her cheek. "You know, Carrie Underwood is alive still, so don't you go telling me God isn't looking out for us!"

I bit my tongue before I said anything rude.

I realized my comment. "Oh, sorry."

"It's fine."

I kissed her cheek then rolled over to my side.

"Did you look at the stars?"

"Yeah. They were nice."

"Yeah."
