City in the Sky

I finished too and paid, then stood up with her.

I kissed his cheek. "I'll meet you at your office, okay?"

"Be safe."

I smiled. "I will."

"Good."

I started walking away.

I started walking to the station.

I walked down an ally, and I knew he was following me.

I kept walking.

Halfway through the ally, I stopped. Not because I was ready to confront him, but because, suddenly, my hearing was gone. I looked around, panicking before something hit the back of my head and I was knocked unconscious.

Lenora: I messed with my earpiece, that's weird...

When I woke up, I was chained to a chair and I could see my breath. I looked around.

"My earpiece glitched. I can't hear Christine anymore."

Jasper: "What do you mean?"
Christine: I struggled, but I suddenly felt agony. I lost control of everything and couldn't move. I felt like I was on fire! I would have yelled if not for the gag.

"I mean my earpiece was connected to her hearing aids and now it's not." I grabbed my phone and called my dad.

Sherlock: "Yes?"
Christine: I lurched forward and everything contracted. My eyes were closed, but I knew I had burn marks on my wrist and everywhere I was touching metal. I had just been electrocuted.

"I can't contact Christine."

Sherlock: "What do you need me to do?"
Christine: I suddenly heard laughter. I looked up and saw I was in the presence of the Indian terrorists. "Christine Johansson," one of them breathe, placing his fingers under my chin and forcing me to look up at him.

"I don't know. Talk to her telepathically and figure out what's going on."

Sherlock: "Got it." I crossed my legs into my chair and placed my hands together with my thumbs under my chin. I closed my eyes and reached out to Christine's mind.
Christine: I growled and wanted to yank my head away, but he gripped my chin tight. Suddenly, he let go and I turned away from them.

I stayed close to Jasper kinda pissed that I still couldn't communicate with people telepathically.

Christine: Suddenly, cold water poured over me, drenching me. I yelled and shook.
Sherlock: There was no mistaking Christine's thoughts. I listened in and looked at where she was. A cooler, but where...? I jumped at the water and opened my eyes.

"I hate the is."

Sherlock: "Lenora, Christine is going to freeze to death soon. She's being kept in a restaurant cooler!"

"I cannot move dad! Neither can Jas!"
