"I can't let you go unless I get the say so."

"Ugh idiots."

I pulled on her legs to drag her harsher. We were almost there.

I winced a little bit.

"Now, I'm not gonna tell ya to shut your mouth, 'cause I know you ain't gonna do that. Really, you don't have to do anything anyone tells you, but if you try to break free, we'll take your boyfriend's gas mask."

I went quiet.

"That's the only rule." I stopped and pulled her to her feet.

I sighed softly.

I grabbed her arm and led her inside. It was a mansion at the base of the mountains.

"Can you take the bag off now?"

I closed the door behind me and did as she asked. The others did the same with the male.

I looked around taking in my surroundings.

I lead her down the halls. The place had electricity and working water as well.

"Why kidnap us? There are more people!"

"You were the first we saw. Frankly, you were also the first female we saw in a long time while on a scout. It's all men here."

"Ugh."

I led her to the main dinner hall. It was where the king should be for dinner.

"I come out of the mountains for the first time in a year," I muttered under my breath.

The king was not what you'd expect. To be a person who's every whim was catered to, he was incredibly built, well dressed, and well groomed. He looked more like if a young billionaire and Colin O' Donoghue had a child.
However, we was also kind of a jerk to the less educated men in our colony and extremely debonair.

I glared at him.

He looked up from his meal. First, he looked at the male. "Kitchen," was all he said and they started to drag him away.

"He has to have a new oxygen mask every 3 hours."

"Don't care. Once he's dead, he's outlived his usefulness," the King said. He looked up at, and his look of boredom changed to a charming smile. He stood up and walked over to her.

"You kill him I commit suicide."

King: I grinned wider and turned to one of the "guards," I liked to call them. "Every 3 hours, give the blond a gas mask." They nodded.
