Nothing Left to Say

"I'm not sure, you're the one who eats..."

I smiled a bit. "Oh, yeah." I kissed her head. "How about... we find stuff for pizza, or something?"

"Ok."

I looked around for things that we needed.

I looked too.

I got cheese, basil, pizza crust, but I also got BBQ sauce and chicken. "It's BBQ chicken pizza. Much better than regular."

"Sounds good."

"So, you never did say. Did Death like my pumpkin bread?"

"Yes he did."

I nodded a bit. Did I see Death before I went downstairs? He said he would be back for me...

"You ok?"

"Yeah, just thinking." I shook my head. "Is this all?"

"Yes."

I nodded and led the way to the check out stands.

I followed.

"Uh, Nat..." I was blushing. I was embarrassed that I had to have her pay. I didn't like it because I felt like I was taking too much from her.

I handed him some money.

"Thank you," I muttered. The cashier was almost done with the person in front if us. When I looked up at her, with a jolt, I realized that I knew her.

"What's wrong?" I asked him in a whisper.

"I know her," I whispered as it came to our turn. I stepped up. Maybe she wouldn't remember me... "Tony Hart?" Dang it!

"Winchester. Tony Winchester."

Mary looked at Nat and smiled. "Like the gun? So, he upgraded, finally," she muttered the last bit as she scanned the food. "It's been years, Tony! You used to be such a scrawny wimp! What happened?" She asked while bagging and I handed her the money. "The apocalypse happened," I told her.

I slipped my hand in his, "Not so much of an upgrade as wanting to mix it up. He took my last name."

"Obviously. You shoulda seen this guy in high school! Paper thin! She said, handing me the bags. "Nice to see you were good on him."

I nodded slightly.
