I felt the back of my neck, ducking my head down a little. "I d-d-don't m-m-m..." I couldn't say the word, but it was a phrase I used to say a lot. I got told it a lot too. But I just couldn't figure out how to say it now!

I stopped and breathe in for a second. "M-mat-matter." I finally got out. I took my empty plate to the sink and walked out of the dining room.

I didn't reply. I just walked out and to the truck. I opened it and climbed into the backseat. I locked the door and laid down, staring up a the roof of the car.
