Nothing Left to Say

“A lot. I remember asking her about the low IQ targeting system and she said ‘only idiots drive drunk on the freeway and take away people’s entire families.’ I don’t know her entire life story, but even that snippet makes me think she’s been through a lot.”

I nodded a bit, forming my own conclusions based on that. "What do I know? You know her better than me."

“Amy and Vicki know her better, she worked with them a lot more.”

"I've known her... a couple weeks, I think? I don't know. Time is weird now. No one keeps track."

“I mean you would know the most recent version of her better than us, we hadn’t seen her since the beginning of this.”

"I don't know. I'm not observant, and she's kinda closed off. I mostly..." I started feeling my face heat up. "I, uh... cleaned her house for a bit while she worked. I stayed out of her way, I didn't want to... you know, be a bother." I sunk in my seat, burying my face into my hands. I had no social skills. "I don't know why I'm even here, I have nothing to contribute and I'm rambling, sorry."

I raised an eyebrow at him, “Didn’t you say you’re good with cars? And isn’t it your foster dad that we’re trying to find?”

I lowered my hands and looked at her. "Uh, kinda. I used to have to work on his cars all the time. And uh... I guess, but that doesn't matter. It's not like I knew about any of this or can help you about knowing about him."

"Anything helps."

"But what if I don't have anything?"

“We’ve already established that you do.”

I shrugged. "Maybe that's all I had. Maybe I'm dead weight now."
Amy: "Yeah, maybe, but Amelia seems to think you're cute, so I guess we have to keep you." I nudged Amelia a bit.

I flushed red, “Umm it looks like the horde cleared out, do you want me to drive Amy?”

Amy: "Yes, please."
Tony: I sunk in my seat and covered my face.

I nodded and grabbed the wallow to tell Nat that we were going to keep moving, I waited to start the car until she replied.

Draven: I grabbed the walkie talkie and confirmed with Amelia that we were going to start going as well. I kissed Natalie's head and moved back to my seat, buckling up.

Nat: I smiled slightly and sat up to start driving.
Amelia: I followed behind them.

Draven: "We should be there by the end of the day, but it's going to get really cold. It's Minnesota."
Tony: I couldn't look at Amelia. My blush was too bad. Amy was probably more than likely teasing, there's no way anyone could like me.

Nat: "The cold will be good though, it should slow the zombies down."
Amelia: I focused on the road and willed my blush to go away.

Draven: I nodded.
Tony: After another while of driving, it was getting cold. I pulled up a blanket and wrapped it around myself. the skies were a lot grayer now. It looked like it would snow soon.

Nat: I reached back and grabbed my jacket from the back seat.
Amelia: I turned the heat on in the car.
((We are saying that it’s winter right?))

((I was thinking mid-late fall to winter.))

Draven: I watched as snow began to fall. "I hope this doesn't turn into a storm." I grabbed my own jacket.
Tony: I looked outside the window.

Nat: “I have chains for the tires if necessary.”
Amelia: “Why does it have to be cold?”

Amy: "I know why. A lot of it has to do with the tilt of the earth, and convection currents. But I'd rather not bore you with the details."
Draven: "That's good." I stared at the map for a while. We were only on the road for a couple more hours. Thankfully, the snowfall had not gotten much worse by the time we reached the middle of nowhere that was were Thomas lived.

Amelia: “It was a rhetorical question.”
Nat: I flashed my brights at the house in a specific sequence, hopefully he was by a window and would turn off the fence and come out.
Thomas: I frowned slightly when I saw brights flash in Natalie’s sequence and quickly turned off the fence and went outside to open the gate for them.
