Don't trip on these boots Mom gave you, don't trip, people will laugh! I repeatedly thought to myself as I walked quickly to Lexi's house. Why did my mom have to get me shoes with heels? I'm a complete klutz and she knows that!

I laughed, stepping over and pulling Jessie to her feet. I went and took my seat by Lexi again. "Well, you may not need a guy in your life, but I need a girl in mine." I put my arm around her waist, kissing her cheek.

"In front of others, yes!" I cried. "It's weird!" I said, but I'd stayed sitting. My face was still red. I didn't like the attention of things like that. It would take a while to get used to Ike kissing my cheek in front of others.
