Where we come from

Laura: "Yeah, he's always been like that, quiet I mean and he is a good person."
Sam: "What did she say? What was her excuse for me not being there?"

SKy: "That you left... sorry, I didn't really get what you were saying."
Raph: "Ah. Is he... a good leader? Are you more of the leader? Could either of you handle my group?"

Laura: "We work together, and probably, but if you're the leader it wouldn't be a good idea to leave them..."
Sam: "It's ok, I'm confusing and haven't talked to people much in a while."

Sky: "It's alright." I gave her a knife and started sawing away at the meat. "Get that leg," I pionted to the leg. I knew sawing legs off of a skinned deer carcass wasn't really the most ideal talking situation, but it was a talking situation.
Raph: "I... that's why I'm here. They need a leader, and... I can't be their leader anymore. I can't be anyone's leader. I've messed things up too much."

Laura: I sighed and set down what I was working on before walking over and turning his arm so the cutting scars were visible, "I'm not stupid, I know what you're planning."
Sam: I quickly got to work, "What did she say about mom and dad?"

Raph: I pulled my arm away. "And what's it to you? LIsten, taking my group in will help you out a lot, and if you don't have to deal with me, it's just one less problem."
Sky: "That we're adopted... that..." Sam didn't know about the beating... I wasn't going to tell her. "That they never did anything to us."

Sam: I sighed quietly Jamie didn't think I remembered or real parents and Sky didn't think I knew what our adoptive parents did, "We were adopted."
Laura: "Right haven't heard that one before." I walked back to the counter and kept working on dinner pretty soon all I needed was the deer.

Sky: "Yeah... we all remembered... I didn't think you two did, but..." I sighed and took a large slab of meat over to a butchering counter. I started chopping it up into steak-sized portions.
Raph: "Please. You don't know me, and you don't need to know me."

Laura: "Yep heard that one before too."
Sam: "She didn't think we remembered and I didn't think you two remembered. I guess we all tried to act like we had forgotten. I know what they did."

Sky: "What who did?" I bagged the meat and cleared the table for Sam. I was hoping it wasn't what I was thinking...
Raph: I sighed. "You. Don't. Know. Me. I shouldn't matter to you."

Laura: "Too bad."
Sam: "Our adoptive parents."

Raph: "Please... please. I can't leave my group without someone. Please."
Sky: "What do you think they did?"

Sam: "Sky! I was there!"
Laura: "Then don't."

Raph: I sighed. "What am I suppose to do, then? If I stay, I'll tear the group apart."
Sky: "You weren't there. They beat me. They beat me where no one would find us. They hid everything. I would've known if you were there. Why would they show their favourite child what they were doing to their favourite punching bag?"

Laura: "I doubt that considering your group is still together."
Sam: "I followed," I said quietly, "No one knew I was there which was how I wanted it, plus I could tell when you came home. Which is why I started following I wanted to understand what they were doing."

Sky: "Why would you follow? Why watch that? Why... why watch them do that to your little brother?"
Raph: "The fact that they're still together doesn't mean we can't fall apart."

Laura: "There's always a chance, but you have to ignore that a focus on what happening now."
Sam: "You know how I am about knowing the truth," I explained quietly."

Raph: I sighed. "If I can't be around, woiuld you take my group in?"
Sky: "And you couldn't guess from my limp and how I complained about aches and pains?" The thought of her watching our adoptive parents do the horrible things they'd done to me... that was... horrible. I couldn't stand the thought of her observing something so terrible... especially being done to her sibling.

Sam: "I wanted to make sure."
Laura: "Of course we would if they wanted us to."

((I want to practice the song for YC, but I still have a horrible cough so my voice is crap and I can't hit the high notes.))

Raph: I smiled and nodded. "Good. Thank you."
Sky: "How.. how many times did you watch?"

Sam: "Only once, I couldn't watch again."
Laura: "But that doesn't mean you don't have to be here for them, they still need you."

((Bleh))

Sky: "G-good... Laura will be needing this meat..."
Raph: "I have more reasons not to be here."

Laura: "Then ignore them."
Sam: "Yeah, she will."
