Nothing Left to Say

I heard Tony out in the hall and apparently so did my boss because he immediately looked up, "Sounds like you have a friend with you maybe I should throw them to the walkers instead." That made me mad, he had already taken enough people from me so I did something crazy, something that could have easily backfired on me. I grabbed the vial and threw the virus inside it at his face which immediately got some into his system. He dropped the knife and tried to get it off, but it was already too late, I pushed him down to the ground floor and out the door then shut it and locked it before running back up the stairs.

I saw Natalie and ran after her. "What that heck was that? Who the heck was that?"

"That was my boss a-and I don't know why I did that I-I just got so mad, I-I didn't think." My hands were shaking did I really just do that?

I nodded. "Why did he want you dead?"

"Because he k-knows I can fix this." I put my hands in my pocket to hide that they were still shaking.

I nodded. "I'm sorry."

"It's not your fault."

"I know."

I took a deep breath then blew the air out through my lips, "Let's go get my notes..."

I nodded.

I walked back to my lab and grabbed the cure well hopefully the cure and my notes.

I looked around.

I looked out the window and sighed, "Backway."

"Got it."

I quietly led the way.

I followed, knife in hand.

I looked out the window before quietly opening the door.

I followed, listening.

I lead him back to my house carefully avoiding all the walkers.

I kept my eyes peeled. Nothing.

We finally got to the gate and I motioned to Lilly to shut off the power as soon as she did I pulled the gate open.

I followed and closed the gate.

I walked inside and immediately went to my makeshift lab.

"Still don't need any help?"

"I'm gonna see if this works first then I'll let you know." I looked in the microscope with the infected blood sample and made one drop of the 'cure' fall into it. For a second nothing happened, then all of a sudden the cure spread through the blood destroying the virus, "I-It works," I said in shock, "It works!"
