At the sound of her yell, my muscles snapped into action involuntarily. My arms flung off the girl, and I pushed up into the air off the bed we were laying on. I flew over her and landed in a squat next to the bed. I looked around, observing the teeny chamber with only one bed, then looked back at the girl. "I'm so sorry. I swear I didn't do it on purpose; I don't even know where we are," I said, standing straight.

I took a few deep breathes. "Oddly enough, I believe you." I rubbed my arms, trying to warm myself back up.

((The suits keep in body heat.)) I let out a breath and hung my head, chuckling a little. "Any idea where or what this place is?" As far as I could tell, it was a bomb shelter or bunker of some sort, but I could also tell that right now was not the time to incite unnecessary stress, so I kept my mouth shut.

((She's never content with how warm she is, even in temperature like a Utahn summer... or winter!))

I looked around. "I don't even know my last name. Or my first one either."

"Same here..." I glanced around the tiny living quarters once more, then at the steel door. "Whatch'a say we look around and see if we can find any clues?

"Alright, but if you try anything funny...." I gave him a warning look to complete my sentence. However, I let him take the lead since I didn't want to break stuff.

I stepped up to the solid grey slab if steel, looking for a lock or anything of the sort as I said "trust me, I was no more comfortable than you." I remembered the panicked feeling I'd felt while holding her, and suddenly a blur of color, sound and pain in my head swept through my brain, like a dream, almost. My hand flickered at the startling experience, but I continued to look around until I found a dark screen beside a chunk of machinery. I took a breath and tapped it. It came to life, displaying six circles in the form of a hand, along with readouts beside it. "Scan hand to confirm identity," a feminine electronic voice hand. When it repeated itself, I placed my hand in the glass square, fitting my fingers to the circles. The hand outline went red for a moment, then flashed green, displaying the word "summers" above it. "Welcome, Dr. Summers," a male robotic voice sounded. I glanced back at the girl, then at the door as it slid open.
