Tumblr Academy reimagined

I quickly sat up, startled. I stared at her for a moment before recognition dawned on me, memories flooding back. "Wait, I died. This is Heaven? How exactly are you even here? Are you dead?" I glanced around me sadly. This was my Heaven, yet now I was supposed to leave it. Reluctance twanged in my heart. This was so close to home... but it wasn't home. If I wanted to go home, I had to leave. But no one could say if I would make it home, or when. I trembled slightly as I took everything in and thought out the possibilities.

"Nah, not dead yet. In any case, I don't think we'd share a Heaven." I walked over and sat down next to him. "Anyways, we gotta go! Aiden is probably waiting on Earth for us. I don't know, time is weird. But more importantly, we need to get you back to your home. It's not natural for your body to be in my dimension so we need to return your spirit to your body and get you back to your home!"

I hesitated, then nodded eventually and reluctantly got to my feet. "Then let's go," I declared, forcing enthusiasm. It pained me a bit to think about leaving, but I knew I had to. I had a real home to get back to, and a few friends waiting there for me. I couldn't stay knowing that.

I smiled. "Thanks, I know it's so tempting to be here, but it's just memories. You can experience the real thing now." I pulled my knife out of my holster. "Okay, this is going to be weird, but bare with me." I quickly left a gash on my arm and muttered an incantation so Nic's spirit would be absorbed into my person, kinda his vessel, but he wasn't going to be driving.

Aiden: I waited a couple hours at  burger joint while I got food, spending the time I didn't eat examining the Impala and admiring her. I whistled when I popped the hood and looked at the engine. Somewhat reluctantly I drove back to the park and waited for Kira, uncomfortably eyeing the entrance to Heaven.

I was running through Heaven, accidentally having tripped some alarms and when the angels found out what I did, boy were they ticked!
I was quickly coming up to the exit and ran through. It took a second for the grace to engulf me and send me back down, but the second I was safely on earth, I was running to the Impala. "START THE CAR!" I shouted at Aiden, looking over my shoulder. Several angels had come down as well, and were in a fast pursuit of me.

I yelped, but revved the engine to life, immediately ready to drive away once she got in the car. "Why are they chasing you? Who are they?"  I yelled back at her, waiting for her to jump inside the car.

I quickly got into the passenger side. "Angels, drive!" I shouted. "They don't like the fact that I have Nic! Technically, I kidnapped him from heaven, but I also technically stole a soul from them so they are super ticked!" I pulled out my gun that had an angel blade melted down and made into bullets. I shot at one as we were driving away, getting the leg, only just injuring them for now.

I gripped the wheel tightly, glancing in the mirror as we sped away. "Are they going to follow us?" I asked, turning down onto the highway we'd taken to get here before it hit me. "Wait, so you did manage to get his soul?"

"I don't know, probably not. And if they are, I'll take care of it." I held out my arm and showed him the gash that was starting to heal over. "An incantation. He's in my arm, kinda. His spirit is in my arm, but his subconscious is in mine. I'm basically a vessel for him, I guess, but he isn't driving. He can see everything and know what's going on, though."

I grinned excitedly. The way this was happening was crazy, but I overlooked that and thought of it as just being closer to getting Nic back. "So what now? We just go back and put his soul in his body?"

"After I vanquish the demon, but yeah, that's it. And once we got that evil taken care of, we move to the next evil that's breaching worlds and take care of them!" I looked through the food bag. "You got any leftovers?"

"I got you a burger in case you would want it," I replied. "Is the demon going to be pretty easy to vanquish, or no?"

"It should be, yeah." I found the burger and unwrapped it before eating. It had all my favorite things on it, which was everything, and I was starving.

I turned the music back on with one hand and sped towards the bunker, in a rush to get back and fix things.

I ate my burger pretty quickly and was satisfied. I leaned back into my seat and started to fall asleep. I guess the whole process drained me more than I realized.

I managed to drive both of us back to the bunker without directions from Kira, who appeared to be dozing off in the passenger seat. Once there I stepped on the break with just enough force to hopefully wake her up.

I shot up. "We're here, awesome. Sorry for sleeping, but I don't sleep often and taking Nic took a lot out of me." I stretched out and got out of the Impala. "Alright, time for an exorcism, heal the body and we're good." I started walking to the main area of the Bunker.

I would have told her it was okay, but she continued on too quickly for me to say anything. I exited the car and followed after her, looking for any of our companions around the bunker as I did.

Alistair had several piles of books next to him, it looked like something that he pulled off the shelves, trying to educate himself. Olivia was reading next to him, they were casually holding hands. "We're back!" I called, looking around for Sam and Dean.

"Yeah, sorry to interrupt you two lovebirds," I added, glancing at the hand holding between Olivia and Alistair, "But Kira has Nic's soul, and I figure that bringing him back to life takes priority at the moment."

Alistair looked up and grinned. "Excellent. Sam and Dean are out on a grocery run."
I quickly walked to the dungeon. "Stay there while I do the exorcism!" I called, "I'll call you in when the body is empty!"

So Artemis and I had gotten lost exploring the bunker and had accidentally locked ourselves outside somehow, Artemis was extremely embarrassed because he’s supposed to be some kind of genius and was refusing to just knock on the dumb door or call someone, so he was currently trying to break in and didn’t seem to think we were going to get shot.

((Wow, I almost thought that Nic was actually going to be back to life before you got back))
I nodded at Kira as she walked away to exorcise the demon. We were finally about to get Nic back! I couldn't help but grin as I walked over to Alistair to wait for the exorcism to finish, wondering in the back of my mind if it was like in The Exorcist or not.
