Aiden: I was left with some of the others. "So, what do you guys do to pass time here?" I asked Caldwell.

I rubbed my temples in stress and took a deep breath. "I'll find you a sword," I said eventually. "Just don't say anything like that in front of Caldwell again. No magic, no 'mortals', no nothing." I was already starting to contemplate how I was going to do anything without my friends accidentally letting Caldwell in on something that would mess up his mind.

((Wah, I'd have Caldwell answer but he's more of a background character so nothing should really be in his POV. I'll just have Nic walk in quickly enough to overhear Caldwell's answer...))

“I didn’t say anything about magic...”

"You said that your sword 'can't harm mortals'. That sounds like it could be heard as you being insane, or magic," I snapped then took another deep breath to calm down. "Just watch what you say," I murmured and headed back inside.
"Everyone has different hobbies around here," I heard Caldwell say. "Nic's learning to play the mandolin. I tend to study in my free time."
I paused as he mentioned me learning to play mandolin. I was not at all confident in my musical abilities.

I slipped in behind Nic and walked over to Alistair.

I shrugged a little. "I'm a beginner," I replied.
"He's better than he gives himself credit for," Caldwell insisted, smiling at me warmly.
I huffed at him a little and folded my arms. "If you say so."

((Oh god, I have too many feelings about women. At this specific moment: Zoe Murphy, mostly.))

Aiden: "Ah, I can play the first couple of cords to a specific song on only one specific instrument... on a good day."
Alistair: I gently slid my hand into hers and looked around. It was nice, being in a land like this, again, but without magic.

I laughed a little. "I only know a couple songs," I told him, then glanced around. Everyone had gotten changed. I couldn't decide whether or not they looked better in the clothes from my world or just more uncomfortable. "Anyway, we should stop by the inn and let Artemis come to a decision," I told everyone.

Liv: “Artemis looks like he’s going to have a mental breakdown.”

Aiden: "Lead the way!"
Alistair: "Good," I muttered.

I patted his shoulder firmly. "You'll survive," I assured him, internally a bit pleased to see that he finally was feeling how I had felt in the other worlds. It's good to see that most of the others were out of their comfort zones, the exception being Alistair. I led the way from the cabin and to the inn, managing not to loose anyone in the midday crowds.
Gen looked up as I walked in. "Fancy seeing you here, Nic," she said, smiling warmly at me. I grinned in response. "I was beginning to think I'd ever get to see you after you got made a ranger."
"Apprentice ranger," I corrected, joking a little with her.
"Who are your friends?" she asked kindly, smiling back at all of them
"Guys, meet Genivive. She's the innkeeper here," I told them, letting them all introduce themselves to her on their own.

Aiden: I smiled. "Aiden Stark, very pleased to meet you, ma'am." I normally reserved the graciousness for ambassadors or political figures that didn't hate me, but I also reserved the Stark charm for people who I respected, and an old friend of Nic's deserved the charm.

Liv: “Olivia Jackson,” I said introducing myself before Artemis muttered, “Artemis Fowl the second.” He was clearly not happy about being in Nic’s world.

((J, you gotta introduce Kira and Alistair too or else the flow of this conversation is gonna be totally ruined))

Alistair: "Alistair Mills. Pleasure."
Kira: "Winchester. Kira Winchester. This place is a lot nicer than a lot of the other inns that I've stayed at."

((Kira still exists??))

Gen smiled at them all, though she glanced uncertainly at Artemis and back to me, her smile barely faltering. "So what brings the group of you guys here?" she asked me, finally setting down the book she had been holding.
"We're looking at options for these guys to stay," I explained to her. "Not all of them could fit in the cabin, so our choices are either camp or stay at an inn, so I agreed to show them the inn before they make a decision." Her brows furrowed and she looked a little upset for a moment. "I assured them that your in is the best quality," I told her quickly. "They're just not from around here."
She scoffed a little. "After hearing them talk anyone can tell they're not from around here. Anyway, did you want to see the rooms?" she asked. I turned to look at the others.

((Yo!! How Infinity War is the ending we deserved, but didn't get. Y'all should watch it ASAP.))

Aiden: "That would be greatly appreciated."

((Wah, we need Kennedy to give Alistair's opinion on the inn vs. camping since he's the main reason they're going this. I feel like he would say that he would stay at the inn but I dunno))
She nodded and led up all upstairs, showing us one of the vacant rooms. It was lightly decorated and everything was neatly organized in it. It was obvious that the sheets had been just barely changed and the bed made. A candle sat at the beside table. Everything about it was as neat as I remembered it being.
Gen looked at me. "If your friends do decide to stay here I'll give you a discount," she told me quietly.
"Absolutely not," I insisted, turning to her quickly. "You housed me here whenever you could while I was on the streets, and you fed me more times than I can count. If anything I owe a big enough debt to you enough to pay extra."
She smiled at me and patted my arm. "Taking care of you was my pleasure. You owe no debt to me."
I gave her a quick small hug before turning back to my friends. "So? What are your thoughts?"

Aiden: I wanted to wrap my arms around his shoulder, but I wasn't sure how people responded to that here. Instead, I placed my hands on my hips and smiled. "It's amazing. Nothing short of perfect."
Kira: "Definitely nicer than about 96% of the places I've stayed in."

Artemis: I sighed softly I was use to much nicer places than this, but it was definitely better than camping or that cabin, “It’s fine.”

Alistair: "This is one of the nicest places that I've ever been in," I spoke, trying to cover up the barely concealed disappointment that was so rudely coming from Artemis. Honestly, that man had no sense of decency or kindness in him whatsoever.
