I looked through the bags and pulled out all the blankets and jackets/coats I could find.

I started laying the jackets down on the ground. The tent was just big enough for the two of us. "There, that should do it," I muttered before laying down.

I tucked myself in and relaxed my body, trying to ease myself. "Are you okay?"

I woke up some time later, pretty relaxed, feeling pretty good. I looked down at Mackenzie, who was still in my arms, trying to figure out how well she was sleeping.
