Something musical?

"How bad is what?"

"You're condition."

I stood up after the shaking stopped. I went and walked inside. "I'm done with my seizure," I told the nurses. "Get back to work."

"Couple broken ribs, broken leg and a bad concussion."

I nodded. "But you'll be back to school, right?"

"Why are you here, Bob? YOu're not a medical doctor." "I'm here on classified buisiness. Do your job."

"Not immediately,  but yeah."

I nodded. "Good."

"You're not getting that canister." "Neither are you." "The hospital needs it for our... research." "THe school needs it to save lives."

"Yeah."

The dude grabbed my shirt. "I eat gaucamole!" I shoved him off. "I swear, this whole place is a nuthouse.

I looked up at Tyler as he spoke. I was surprised he was sticking up for me... Most of the time kids stick up for everyone else who he claimed is not as good as I am.
"Why wouldn't she want to be here? Her talents fit in perfectly here." The director said in smooth but steely voice.

"Maybe she wants to learn something new. Maybe she didn't dream about being a musician. Maybe she wanted to be an English teacher, or a scientist."

"It doesn't matter anyways," he said, "I don't have any control over who comes here and who doesn't. It's the parents."
He said teacher and I smiled a bit. He had guessed it spot on, even though it was just a random example.

((Have fun!)) "True... You could go without insulting all of us hard workers, here, though." L smiled a bit, and I couldn't help but smile at that.

"Insulting? I wouldn't dream of insulting all the other students." He asked, seemingly believing he hadn't done anything wrong.
I finally spoke up, "By acting like I'm better than everyone else, you seem to say: 'you aren't as good and never will be.' That's insulting to them." I realized what I had done. I snapped at the director... Oh, my parents were going to kill me if he told them.

I smiled and gave a short bow to L. "Exactly."

I made an amused smile at Tyler's bow. He was definitely different.
"I haven't done anything of the sort." The director denied.
I was quiet again. I wasn't going to snap at him again and risk getting in even more trouble.

"Quote: "she's the best there is" no offense to anyone in the room, but I can play any song I have listened to in three hundred different instruments and never miss a note, and actually know and explain the notes and how it's done."

I wanted to shout out "that's what I can do!" Until he said he understood the notes and explain how everything was done. I looked down at my toes. Why did the director like me so much? Why not a hard working student who actually understands what they were doing? I didn't like how people were jealous of me. Tyler was right, I didn't want to be here.
But now, He was arguing for the sake of all those that don't get the director's attention. I should've known that he would do that eventually.
The director seemed to ignore Tyler's quote from him. "That's the thing, she does it without understanding anything, and it all comes out perfectly."

I sighed and threw my hands up. "You had to beg every single student in this school to go here. Now I see why. Us students will just be awesome in our awesomeness. Although, we would all appreciate learning something we can understand, and something we can't. We all want to learn. The problem with some people is they don't care about education. They just want "the best there is."

I looked from the director to Tyler. The director wasn't going to back down and I couldn't walk away without getting in trouble.. I tried to give Tyler a look that asked him to walk away. I just hoped he would understand...
"I care about education. I want you all to be the best there is." He almost sounded genuine... Almost.

I sighed. I saw L's look. 'Odiot,' I thought. 'Let your temper get away from you again.' I nodded to the professor. "I'm sure that's true. Good luck with your school, prof. I'm gonna go practice my banjo."

"Alright, then." The director said and waited for Tyler to walk away.
I stepped farther away from the director and turned towards Tyler, preparing to follow him when someone walked away.
