I set the plates in the sink. "So, what do you think about my new..." I hesitated to call them friends, "aquaintances?"

I nodded. "I'm going to go milk the cows. Later!" I called before walking over to Asher, who was talking to his cousins. I grabbed him around his waist, mostly because I could and it made him angry because he was still short. I carried him outside.

I noticed Jamie was following. I set Asher down outside and told him to get the buckets. "What you need?"

I pulled up a chair to one of the cows and grabbed a bucket from Asher before he walked to another cow. "It's easy." I set the bucket under the udder. "Just squeeze and pull," I started milking the cow.

((So, I have two ways for Aiden to take his shirt off. One-Asher does something that stains his shirt, or Aiden can mow the lawn, which is hard physical labor on a sunny day, he needs to cool off, all that.))

I just did that until the bucket was full. "See, if you don't milk cows every day, they get uncomfortable." I stood up and gently patted the cow. "Where did you live before all of this?"

I nodded slightly and was about to enter the barn when I noticed movement out from the corner of my eye. I quickly pushed Jamie behind me as Asher jumped out from behind the side of the barn with a hose.

He ran into the house, which I couldn't go in since I was soaked. "Ah, dang it," I muttered. I turned to Jamie. "Do you mind?" I grabbed the bottom of my shirt. "This is not a comfortable material to be in when wet."
