Dragon Born (February's RP)

(( lol, he tripped on a dragon's tail... ))

Dannial: "A tail?"

"True," I agreed. I was about to say something else when a crack sounded throughout the cave.

"Yeah, a tail."

I looked around.

Dannial: "What kind of tail?"

Another crack, followed by another. Soon the cave was filled with the sounds of what could only be large eggs, and I don't mean chicken eggs.

"I have no idea, i can only see the tail."

"What the heck is that?" I whispered.

Dannial: "Curse your weak beamed flashlight."

I turned towards the stone I had leaned against before I had scooted over to the woman. Pointing at the large, egg shaped stone with cracks webbing through its surface, I said, "That."

"I told you it was a crappy flashlight, We're just going to have to get closer to the head."

I held back a gasp and subconsiously grabbed her arm in panic.

I was a bit frightened as I saw the lizard she called 'cute.' I was trying to calm myself down, but that was until I felt a nudge at my backside that sent me stumbling forwards. I heard a coo of a noise and slowly turned around to see a Black dragon with light blue shine on his scales. He had the brightest blue eyes I had ever seen, brighter than mine. I yelled once more as it licked my face, "Eh-ewwww. Regan, it just licked me..." I said with one eye shut and my arms raised in the air, dripping with saliva.

Reg: "That's so cute!!!" The silver blue one licked me and I giggled a bit, she looked at my ankle and healed it, I had re-injured myself with all that running around, "I'm naming her Sanabit, it's Latin for Heal."

"Uh, no, not cute!" I said to her, flicking the rest of the saliva off of me. The lizard started to jump around as if wanting to be played with. He flapped his wings and jumped around both me and Regan and her Dragon. A can admit I did laugh a bit. He came towards me and nuzzled me, I gently placed my hand on his muzzle and stoked up his head. "I guess I'm gonna name you... Ludicer! Which means playful." I said kind of quietly.

((did you see the wings and eye color my character is going to get?))

I smiled and rubbed behind Sanabit's ears.

((Yes I did, Why?))

As I played with Ludicer, I suddenly heard a groan. I looked over the nest to see the mother falling to the ground. She suddenly shifted into a human and I ran quickly towards her.

((just checking))

I ran over too and tried to figure out what was wrong.

I gave her a look up and down. She didn't seem to well, I checked her pulse and felt her forehead. She wasn't going to make it. I sighed, she then suddenly whispered in my ear. My eyes shot wide open. I almost let out tears before holding them in. I looked at Regan worringly, "She isn't going to make it, and she wants us to look after her babies." I said with the choking of words.

I nodded slightly and promised her that we would.

I watched as her breathing slowed and then finally stopped. I set my hand behind her and placed it on her back, setting her gently on the ground. I sat there silently for a while before going back to the dragons. Ludicer purred a bit before setting his forehead against mine. I stroked under his chin and whispered 'its okay bud'.

((When are they gonna gain their powers? Whenever, or when everyone goes back to camp and shows each other.))

((It's supposed to be when they bond with their dragons))

A felt a couple tears slip, then I climbed back in to comfort Sanabit, it took a while, but eventually I got her to calm down.

((Oh yeah, whoops))

I sat down next to Ludicer and laid against his side. He lied down with me and rested his head on his paws. He let out a big sigh that ended up as a snort. I folded my arms and sighed along. By then Ludicer had fallen asleep, and I was getting tired. My eyes fluttered as I tried to stay awake.

((I'm just tired, and well, I think I'm gonna head off. Night.))

I gasped a tiny bit, my back really hurt for some reason, I laid down and stayed close to Sanabit and this time she seemed to be comforting me. I shivered slightly because while the air was warm the ground was cold. She noticed and made her wing fall over my like a blanket.
((Night! I'm getting off too))

I suddenly heard a voice that echoed in my head and sounded like I was hearing it from underwater. "mσm? mσthєr, whєrє αrє чσu?! αrє чσu αlríght?!" it said, sounding panicked. As the stone like egg cracked farther, the voice became clearer and easier to understand, although it still echoed inside my head. "mσm! mσm, plєαѕє вє σkαч!" When the egg's occupant finally burst free from the shell, it turned out to be a small silver blue dragon with startlingly blue eyes. When the young dragon laid eyes on Alex and I, then saw the woman on the ground behind us, very obviously dead, its eyes narrowed and flashed gold before a low rumble that originated from the dragon's throat. "чσu kíllєd mч mσthєr. í'm gσíng tσ kíll чσu!" it said before it launched into the air, spreading its wings slightly to help it close the distance between us. Panicked, I flung my hands up as self defense and yelled, "nσ, wαít, ѕtσp!" That seemed to confuse the dragon as it actually did try to stop, but it was too late and the dragon crashed into me. "UGH!" I exclaimed as I fell over due to the shear force of having a dragon ram into my chest, my arms unconsciously wrapping themselves around the young dragon. At the exact moment of impact, I felt a burning in my chest where the dragon had landed, like a fire had been lit in the very core of my being. The fire like sensation then spread out from my chest and into my arms and my head, namely my eyes. It wasn't unpleasant, quite the opposite in fact. It almost felt like some hidden aspect of my being had just been unlocked and a hidden potential unleashed. It felt amazing. 

(( just so y'all know, that other font I used is a dragon's natural language and only a dragon or half dragon can speak or understand it. The dragons and riders can form telepathic connections, as well as any magical or simi-magical creatures who "mate", but any dragon speaking in their native/natural language can be understood by Hils ))
