I looked at her, "What do you think sweetie?" I asked her coldly. I had to act meaner than I was, otherwise they would get suspicious.

I couldn't keep my mask up anymore. I shrunk under all the glares and was shaking horribly from the cold that radiated from all directions.

I clutched that one too. In the stands was the observtion box obviously meant for the emperor, or, in this case, the king. I was forced to my knees in front of the emperor's place. The soldiers got on their knees as well, and made Santiago get down too.

The collisium was becoming flooded with ice hearts, and I realized now how hopelessly outnumbered the fire hearts were. I gulped as they all bowed as well.

I didn't dare look up as the only noise to be heard was footsteps throughout the arena. "All hail the king of the ice hearts!" I heard someone call, and the arena erupted with cheers and roars of human voices.

I kept my head down and the arena fell silent. "It is, to my understanding, that we have a fire heart, a fire heart knight in our mist." There was a lot of booing and people threw stuff at me, mostly small rocks.
