Nothing Left to Say

"Will you lay down with me?"

I nodded and climbed up then laid down next to her.

I curled up close and fell asleep.

I held her close, but was careful with my arms.

I stayed close.

I started to fall asleep.

There it was, looking no different than the last time I saw it. I've never been so happy to see something like that, I was going back to Daniel. I could finally hold him close after so long and protect him. I stepped through the portal. 
I sat up quickly back in my body. "Daniel!!!" I called for him.

I fell into a deeper sleep.

I did not have good dreams, as suspected.

I didn't really dream.

I just had dreams about my time in heaven.

I woke up when the pain meds wore off.

"We will find you, Tony. You can hide from us forever," the angel said. I shot up.

I flinched when he moved and pushed the call nurse button.

"Sorry," I muttered, rubbing my eyes.

I nodded and pushed the button again, finally the nurse came in.

I looked around.

I buried my face in his chest while they gave me the shot.

I held her close.

I relaxed once it was over.

I kissed her head, but froze when the nurse suddenly said, "Excuse me, sir, but is that blood on your sleeve?"

"I can patch him up if you can get me a first aid kit, I'm a certified surgeon."

The nurse ignored her and insisted on looking at my arm, so I reluctantly got off of the bed and rolled back a sleeve.

I sighed softly.

She flipped out, to say the least. "How are you still alive?" she screamed.
