"I'm fine in case you were wondering," I wiped my clothes off and fixed my glasses as I glared at them.

"Not really."

"I can heal you if you want since mr. Apollo the God of healing is useless right now."

"How about you stop using your powers to touch me?! Huh?" I said a bit angrily, folding my arms. I didn't yell, but it was put in the tone of my voice.

"Whatever you want."

I glared at him. He was really rude.

"Alright. So Nic archery?"

"Do I have a specific target, or am I just shooting at whatever I want?"

I switched Hades to Hecate, but kept the other two, "How far out do you want the target?"

"Since it's dark just go with just a couple hundred yards."

I nodded a bit, "Standard bullseye or something else?"

"That sounds fine to me," I replied, shrugging my bow off my shoulder.

I nodded and made a bullseye shape a couple hundred yards away, then snapped my fingers to solidify it.

I grabbed an arrow from my quiver, took a moment to aim, then released. Without waiting to see if it hit the target, or the center, I drew another arrow, notched it, and fired. I did that with a third arrow then was satisfied as I looked at the target. All three arrow were gathered in the center of the target, so close they there touching each other.

I watched. I knew people who were good with a bow and arrow, and I was shocked to find that he was better.

"Don't look so shocked. A bow is a ranger's primary weapon. We train for five to six years to master it and other weapons," I said. "As Halt always says, 'An ordinary archer practices until he gets it right. A ranger practices until he never gets it wrong'."

"Yes, but I know people ten years older than you with just barely that skill. Except Robin Hood. No one was better than Robin Hood..." I trailed off and looked down.

I noted how he trailed off after mentioning Robin Hood. And how he had used the word "was" instead of "is". Deciding it was probably a touchy subject, I didn't comment on it and nodded. It's always better not to press at things.

I patted his shoulder awkwardly. "The point is, you have natural skill, I do believe."

"That's something I've been told before," I laughed, remembering the the first time Caldwell had me practice using a bow. "I think I just pick up on things quickly. It's a pretty great survival tactic."

I saw artemis and apollos eyes widen.

I glanced over at the apparent god and goddess. I smirked at the slight shock on their faces. Seeing people shocked at my abilities was one thing I never got tired of. A ranger's talent with a bow was also one of the reasons why people think we use black magic.

I looked at them. I hope Nicholas doesn't make the same mistake Arachne did by not thanking the proper God for her talent.
