I am new to this kind of forum...obviously lol. I'm a nice person and like to keep the peace as much as possible...and I love to write. I'm currently working on two stories but I'm having trouble fleshing out my characters...any help would be great...now I have no idea where I go from here lol

By fleshing out your characters do you mean making them more real?

I am "interviewing" them...asking them simple questions and such but I just can't seem to connect with my bad guy in one of them. Ok I play sims 3 on xbox 360 and I am the type of person to pick all the nice traits...so for me to connect with Darrion (Evil guy) even a little I have to get out of my comfort zone...I even went so far as to watch a documentary on sociopaths to try and figure out how Darrion thinks...either that or I'm over thinking him and not letting him just come out and talk

Well then think of the opposite of how you would normally behave, maybe you would help someone up, while you're bad guy would be the one who pushed them down, stuff like that.

(A little bit off topic here but...) It's good to know you try  to keep the peace, we are all very opinionated people and there have been some very heated debates sometimes... *Shudders at memories*

Ok here is the introduction part and a paragraph or two of the next character:

Chapter 1
A shadow stalked the young woman taking the path to her home. It stayed back far enough so as not to be detected right away. He had been watching her for a few weeks and had decided now was the time to release the predator with in him. It screamed for release, clawing its way to the surface of his being. It demanded her screams and his body ached to feel her rich hot blood against his skin. To feel her pitiful struggles.
The hair on the back of her neck stood on end as the feeling of being followed washed over her. She stopped and turned to look behind her and saw nothing but darkness. She knew she should have taken the offer of an escort home but her pride hadn't allowed it, now though, she wished she had.

Continuing on she walked faster, almost at a run. All the night sounds were around her. where she usually felt comfort in listening to the crickets chirping and the owls hooting she began to get a dangerous inkling that she was being hunted. Her adrenaline was pumping through her, as she hurried as fast as she dared without being able to see the dark path very well. The waning moon burst out from behind the clouds and seeing the bend in the path she hurried forward, she was almost home. She could just make out the candle light shining through the windows her sister left glowing for her to find her way. She let out a relieved sigh as she slowed her pace slightly, then she heard the growl and felt hands shove her off the path into the dirt.

She gave a short cry of fright as she threw out her hands to brake her fall. Scrambling to her hands and knees she grunted when a heavy weight came down in her back pinning her to the ground on her stomach. A rough calloused hand clamped onto her mouth to muffle the scream that was in her throat, keeping it from escaping. She felt the cold steel of a blade press to her throat, "Don't make a sound," a cruel voice whispered in her ear, "I may let you live if you do as I say."
She cried with fear against the hand and nodded her head. The hand on her mouth came off but the blade stayed at her throat. Then the pain began.

Her world was darkness, but thank the goddess it wasn't silent. Her family still loved her even with the horrific reminders staring them in the face. Finding her way around all these years had been hard but with Draven's help, she had managed. He was kind to her even though she knew she must be horrific to look upon. Her father told her to not be ashamed for how she looked, it was then men who should be ashamed when they should look upon her. Shame at what they had done to an innocent young woman. Nikole moved her hands over her face and felt the scars where her eyes should have been. Bright, beautiful, sea green eyes that sparkled with mischief while she was growing up. There were many a night that she cried, though no tears would fall. She would cried herself to sleep. In her dreams she would dream if the nightmare that had happened to her that one fateful day.

The men were drunk. Six of them. They hated her and her family, for her family were sorceresses and sorcerers. They had a wine skin that they were passing around.  She saw them coming down the road and was to innocent and naive to think that they would do anything to her, but they had. As Nikole and the group of men drew near to each other, Nikole recognized Draven's father, Egan Inwood, as the leader. She really didn't care for the man because of the way he treated Draven. He was also a drunk and abusive mentally, physically, and verbally to his wife and two other children. When he spotted her, he and his drunkard friends, who didn't care for her family, thought if sending a message home to them. The grabbed her, muffling her screams with a wad if cloth stuffed into her mouth.

she would wake up screaming and Draven would be there to hold her, to rock her and murmur soothing words to calm her. He would tell her that it was over, that he was there for her, and she would cling to him for dear life and sob out her misery.

I would love to read that but, my brain keeps blanking out a few sentences in... nothing bad with your writing, of course! Even some of my favourite writers on this site I blank out on... Long stuff on a computer screen causes gears to grind in my head. Although, I will take Kennedy's Word that it is good and 100% back her up. (Sorry that's a bit off topic, again... My brain works off-topic constantly...)

No, I haven't, sorry... And interviewing your characters helps, but it also helps if you put yourself in the situation, how would you feel if it was you, what would you want to do? Sometimes it helps to model your characters off of people you know, and interview them.
