I finished my cake and covered the pan with the left over cake in it with tin foil. I put the ice cream in the freezer and the last of the milk in bottles and in the fridge.

I handed him each thing after I washed it.

I got a clean rag and quickly dried it.

Once I donated washing I started putting the things he had dried away.

I put the last few dishes away, Aiden was yawning so I picked him up and carried him upstairs to help him brush his teeth and get ready for bed. One he was ready I tucked him in and read him the book mom had left for his birthday, lastly I sang mom's lullaby, like I did every night. Aiden fell asleep while I sang.

I nodded. Gently, I grabbed her hand and pulled her to the couch.
