I chuckled a bit. "I would always almost swear that you loved Peter Parker more than me," I muttered, flipping the bread, then froze when I realized what I had said.

I found a steel for like the one in the room in the back corner of the room. I glanced around and noticed several more along the walls of the lab. I tapped the console and the whole room came to life. Consoles and screens lit up, and a slight electrical hum could be heard. "Good morning, Doctor," the same robotic voice as before spoke. "Morning... Computer." "Call me Balthasar," the computer said. "Morn

ing, Balthasar. Could you perhaps... Open this door? Or, better yet, tell me where to find clothes?" "That is the door to Hydroponics," he said, "You can find clothes in the door on your left."

I put the toast on the plates.

The next door over opened, and I hurried over, stepping inside. There were shelves of provisions, and near the back of the storage room were a few wardrobes and a two racks of shoes. I grabbed a plaid shirt and jeans, pulling them on and rolling up my sleeves. I left the shirt unbuttoned and pulled on some converse. I grabbed Vanessa's favourite outfit and hurried back to the kitchen. "Thanks, Balthasar." "Of course, Doctor." I stepped in the kitchen and smelled the toast. I grinned at Vanessa, and realised I might be being a little too intimate. I set the clothes on the table and said "smells amazing."

"Thank you," I said before putting a mountain of whipped cream on my stack. I looked at the clothes. "How did you know?"

"I, uh..." I tapped my temple, "I've known half my life."

I smiled. "I remember..."

I stepped a bit closer and brushed her fingers with mine. "Us?" (Got to go for a bit.)

I gently took his hand. "Yeah."

I kissed her softly and smiled. "Finally." I slipped my hands around her waist and pulled her close.

I wrapped my arms around his neck to steady myself.

I smiled and kissed her again, resting my forehead on hers. I kissed her again, and again, then stayed in our position.

I smiled and closed my eyes.

I wanted to just kiss her... Kiss her for as long as I could hold my breath... I brushed my lips against hers and touched her nose with mine. "At least we have each other."

He still remembered how to make me blush, how to make me happy. I pecked his lips before resting my forehead on his. "Yeah. Together."

I folded and put my hand behind her head, pulling her up and kissing her, long but not too hard. I didn't stop for a long time...

I kissed him back, not even caring how cold the meal was getting. I smiled to remember how often this had happened before.

I lifted her up and held her against me, placing a hand on the table. For a moment a memory flickered through my head, but it was gone before I could grasp it. I ignored it and kept kissing.

I started to run my hands through his hair.

((Night! Sleep well!)) I felt her hands in my hair, and ran my fingers through hers. I felt the suit beneath her shirt, and then her skin beneath that. I massaged the smooth skin of her back as we embraced.

I relaxed instantly at his touch. Once again, I was warm.

((Wow... Wow. That's... Super human, or something.)) I smiled as I felt her heartbeat, and suddenly memories flooded through my head. Hard times. Good and bad. Family. Change. Death... My whole life except for the most recent year came flooding in, and I gently pulled my lips away, but still held her and massaged her back.
