"It'd be good for us to find a way to make sure the enemy will take this path," I told Artemis thoughtfully, marking the path lightly with the pencil. "That way everyone on our side would be in a much better position than them from the very beginning." I glanced at Liv for just a second as she left as well, rolling my eyes slightly.

Liv: "I actually don't drink coffee, so that would be good." I followed him to the elevator and kept an eye out for monsters.
Artemis: "How many other ways in are there?" I looked over the map.

I pointed to two other possible entrances. "We can't just place people there to stop them. Unless we're in a group together they'd only manage to slow them down. The most likely entry point would be here," I pointed at the spot to the right, one we didn't want. "It'd be harder then the one we want them to come through but easier than the other. The reason that's most likely is because they have more cover down that path and would then get the element of surprise, and that's something we don't want, not even for a second."

I got into the elevator and pressed the lobby button. "So, what do you drink, then? I like my coffee... can't turn down a decent doughnut either."

Liv: "I really like Hot Chocolate, donuts are good too."
Artemis: "Do you think we could set traps to block them?" I looked at the paths and pulled up a satellite image of them on my phone to figure out what kinds of traps would work.

"Quite possibly, if we got to work on them soon," I agreed. "Having scouts in those places would be a great asset as well," I added. "I could take the one of the right. That way I could get back quickly if anything happens."

I smiled. "Hot cocoa can be good. I just, well, I guess I need something stronger, and I'm not really ready for an alcohol addiction, so..." I looked at her and shrugged. "I'm just picking my poison."

Liv: I nodded, "Yeah alcohol addiction wouldn't be good."
Artemis: "It looks like these Hermes and Hephaestus are pretty good at scouting and setting traps, we should talk to them as soon as possible." I set my phone down and leaned back a bit.

I raised an eyebrow in slight annoyance at the mention of he Hermes cabin being good at scouting. Somehow in my head it sounded like he was implying they might be better than me and my countless hours training to be perfectly still or to find the best hiding spots in plain sight and all the other things I'd been working on. I nodded and stared at the door and waited for the others to get back. "I say as soon as they come back with the coffee we set out to survey the area in person and contact our allies."

I smiled still and led the way out of the elevator when the door opened and to the resturant. The person working there looked shocked to see me. Then I realized, I hadn't changed out of my coffee stained clothes.

Artemis: I noticed the annoyed expression and rolled my eyes a bit, "Sensitive much? I didn't say they were better than you I just said they seemed good at it from Liv's note."
Liv: "Someone ran into him, you don't need to look so shocked to see him, you guys are getting more money."

I deadpanned and stared at him for a minute. "I'm touchy about stuff for a reason," I muttered softly, gazing at the wall as my mind drifted and I thought about the year of training I'd missed after I'd gotten seriously hurt and the suffering I'd endured to get where I was now.

Artemis: "Right... well then I'm going to go figure out what questions to ask them." I started making a list on my phone of ideas.

"Yeah, you do that. I'm sure you can handle that, so I'm going to go on a quick walk to clear my head," I told him, heading for the door. For a couple steps I had trouble with my limp but after moving a bit I was able to conceal it better. "Don't get into trouble," I called, then exited the room, taking a deep breath and resting the back of my head on the door for just a moment.

She nodded and got ready to take our order. The only thing is, I got a white chocolate latte for Artemis this time. It was my way of being passive aggressive because I hated white chocolate, so why not let him suffer if he hated it too.

((My last meal in my house of over 7 years was one of the best ham sandwiches I've had in a while. Turns out, I like pickles and lettuce on ham sandwiches too. The brand of ham my mom got? Not so much. I still remember my first meal here too, and exactly how my mom ruined it.))

Artemis: I shrugged and kept working on my list, maybe I should talk to that Hades kid too, if he could hide in the shadows that might be helpful.
Liv: I raised an eyebrow at him, "Still mad at Artemis?"

I put my hands in my pockets and wandered the hallway, taking a mental note of the turns I made as I walked. I sighed to myself. Man, Artemis got on my nerves sometimes then instead of acting like a normal human he'd never feel sorry in the slightest. I briefly wondered if I'd been anything like that, praying to Gorlan that I'd never acted that way. If I had I felt sorry for Caldwell needing to deal with me.

"You could say that." I smiled at her just the same and paid for the drinks and waited for the box of doughnuts to be ready.

Artemis: I finished up my list and messed with the gold coin Holly had given me, honestly I knew she wouldn't approve of how I was acting, but I didn't really care. The only tech I had from my world was my phone and a pair of glasses which was really annoying. Maybe I'll ask Liv if she has any building materials.
Liv: I smiled back and helped him carry the drinks.

I took a deep breath and scolded myself as I thought about Caldwell and my home world. It was better not to concentrate on things I might never see again, and wondering if I'd make it home only made me sad, frightened, and feel more alone than I'd ever been before. Even growing up I hadn't been alone, granted no one liked a thief and beggar that much. But even then I'd understood the way the world worked. Here things were too complicated, nothing was ever as simple as it should have been.

I carried the doughnuts, whistling while I walked with her to the elevator before a thought crossed my mine. "Hey, does it scare you that I could go Hulk or die at any minute?"
Why did I ask that?

Liv: "Not really, I mean a lot of campers at camp, especially the Big 3 kids seem like they could go crazy or die at any second so yeah... it feels kinda normal to me."
Artemis: When were Alasitar and Liv going to get back? They were taking forever and I needed to talk to Liv.

After a couple minutes of wandering and dodging thoughts that bounced in my head I started down the path back to the rooms.
