Tumblr Academy reimagined

"A day?" I asked, shaking my head slowly. "Yet somehow I feel like I suddenly aged a couple years." Sighing, I took another swallow of coffee.

“Yeah, dying does that to you. Trust me Sleep will help.”

"So, whose world are we going to next?" I asked, looking around. "Do we pull names out of a hat to find out? Roll dice, perhaps?"

I flashed Olivia a halfhearted glare before turning back to the others. "I'll sleep in a bit," I replied to her. "Do we really get to pick where we go?" I asked. "Plus don't we have to do something here, or was bringing me back from the dead the only eventful thing that's going to come from this place?"

Kira: "I mean, I sent Azazel back to Hell pretty easily. I can go charging down there to ultimately slay him if that's what needed but it seems like a lot of work that I'd rather deal with later. I don't know. I can look through the newspapers and see if anything seems strange, teach you guys how to properly hunt."

“It can’t be all we needed to do here, it’s too easy.”

"Why do I get the feeling that our hunting is very different from my hunting?" I asked her, then agreed with Olivia. "I died the last place we went to. This really does sound like we're missing something here."

I sighed and stood up. "Papers it is. I'll be making a run to the market, you guys want anything? Doughnuts or something?"

I shook my head no. Olivia was right about me needing to sleep, but just because she wasn't right didn't make me want to any more. The last time I'd felt so afraid of closing my eyes was clear back when I had nightmares after the wolf attack, and I hadn't even died. Now it was as if every time I blinked part of me had anxiety that I wasn't going to open my eyes again.

I nodded. "Hey, Richie Rich, you're coming with." I grabbed Artemis's wrist and started dragging him with me to the garage. I wasn't taking the Impala this time, but my own personal ride, a motorcycle. I loved it.

"I guess I'll go wander around in search of a room and hopefully get lost before I find one," I announced in a mock cheerful tone and abruptly got up and headed for an open doorway, casting a glance behind me at the others, eyes stopping on Aiden again. I scolded myself as I headed away. Why did I have no control over where I looked?

((I'm pretty sure when We Are the Champions starts playing on Pandora after you finish writing some lyrics, that's a good sign.))

Aiden: I quickly followed him. "I'll come with. Kira hasn't assigned me a room either, I went with her when she went to Heaven, so there wasn't really... a chance... I have slept in a day." I rubbed my eyes and stifled a yawn for emphasis.

I smiled at him, raising an eyebrow a little at the exaggeration. "I guess we'll get lost together, then."

I gave a slight chuckle and started walking down a hallway, staying in pace with him, shortening my strides... he was a bit on the shorter side... or I was tall. I didn't know.

((Man, this game I'm playing is really screwing with my emotions. I've cried 3 times today alone over this. Fricking moral questions. Freaking making me chose between dying to save the planet or living with my friends on the only spot remaining on Earth. My character just got married! He can't die!! But then his friends families die and ugh))
We walked down several hallways, checking rooms to see if they were bedrooms or not. I wasn't sure what to say for a while but then realized it, just not knowing how to phrase it to be tactful. I sighed and stopped, glancing at him. "Look, I don't know if this has been bothering you much, but I'm just going to say this now: me dying wasn't your fault."

I looked down at him. "R-really? I mean, I could have done more to help, but I didn't so. I don't know." I wanted to believe it was true, but it was hard.

I patted his arm gently. "Really. It was the middle of a battle, and sometimes there are casualties in battles. Besides, how would you have known about me not being good with swords? It's not like I'd ever given you or the others a list of the weapons I'm actually trained to use. Swords are just unluckily not  Ranger weapons. We're normally not on the front lines, so a sword isn't a weapon of choice."

I kinda felt my soul leave my body when he touched my arm, but I managed to keep my mind and listen to what he said. I nodded. "Okay, not a front line guy. I am, so I guess I kinda forgot to not assume that everyone is." I gave him a soft smile. "Thank you."

Liv: I stifled a small yawn and started cleaning up lunch.
Artemis: “Kira! Let go you’re hurting my arm!”

I grinned. "Don't mention it. And no beating yourself up over that. It's all in the past now anyway." I resumed my walking, turning down the next corner and checking the first door. It opened to reveal a bedroom, but it was obviously claimed by someone who actually lived here. Along the wall were mounted... I paused, trying to remember the name for the weapons, my brain still fuzzy from having died.

Alistair: I helped her clean up. "Thank you for lunch, it was delicious." I gave her a smile.
Kira: I let go of his wrist and grabbed my helmet. I tossed one his way and stuck the keys in the ignition. "Get on, Pretty Boy, we're going on an adventure. And hold on tight, I drive fast."
Aiden: I opened another door and found an unoccupied room. "I found an empty one, you can take it, there's bound to be more nearby. I just kinda figure you need sleep more than anyone else here." I shrugged and held the door open for him.

Liv: “You’re welcome. I don’t think Dean likes me.”
Artemis: I groaned a little and put the helmet on before getting on the bike behind her.

"Thanks," I replied, shutting the other door and heading over, my mind still trying to remember the name. I frustratedly pushed the question to the back of my mind.

Alistair: "I don't think Dean likes anyone upon first impression. Well, at least, that's what I know from reading," I showed her the Supernatural book that I had. "Would you like to borrow it?"
Kira: I laughed a bit maniacally just to scare him. "Hold on!" I told him again before revving the engine and speeding off.
Aiden: "You're welcome." I studied his expression and body language. "Is something bothering you?" Did Kira talk to him too? Does he think about me like how I think about him?

Liv: “I feel like they see me as a monster.”
Artemis: I held on tighter not wanting to fall off.
