New Year, New February RP?

I relaxed a bit.

I kissed the top of her head. "It'll be okay, ya hear? We got each other, and that's more than enough to survive."

I nodded slightly.

I looked down at her. "Do you need to talk or anything?"

“No, I’m fine.”

I nodded and closed my eyes. It was getting hard to tell night from day and having a regular sleeping schedule. I wasn't tired, but there wasn't much else for me to do.

I took a few deep breaths to help get some control back from my imagination.

I was sitting outside the tent, tending to the fire. I was approved to walk about about a week ago, so I was pacing myself to not worry Mackenzie, but I still liked moving and being out of the tent as much as I could. We had been in this spot for what I estimated to be around a month. I still wasn't strong enough to make a trek to a new location.
"Hey, Mackenzie?" I called, looking towards the tent.

I was double checking all of our supplies and taking inventory.

I slowly stood up and walked over to her. I gently rested my hand on her back to let her know I was there. "Mackenzie? Can I ask you something?"

I looked up at him and nodded slightly, “Of course.”

"When's your birthday?"

“October 5th, when’s yours?”

"March 20th."

I nodded slightly, “Got it.”

I kissed her head and rubbed her back before walking back to the fire. I was doing a lot of mental math in my head. It was day 48 out here, which made it August 15th.

I finished taking inventory and repacked everything.

I walked over to the nearby tree and carved the 48th notch into it with my pocket knife.
Mackenzie and I were still strongly attracted to each other, so that was great, I really did like her.
Other packages had been dropped off, mostly food items that were appreciated beyond the berries we were rationing. We got more letters, which did not shine too much more light on our situation, and were more creepy than anything.
I looked over at Mackenzie as she repacked everything. Yeah, I was still really attracted to her, and I was learning a little bit more about her each day, but there was still so much I didn't know.

I finished repacking our supplies making sure that the stuff we would need sooner rather than later was easily accessible.

I slowly stood up again before going over to her. I gently put one hand on her back again.

“Hey.”

"Hey," I muttered, kissing the back of her head.

“How are you feeling?”

"I lot better now that I can move around." I took a step back, giving her her space. "We've been in this spot for a long time. We should make an aim to continue moving next week."

“Sounds like a plan.”
