I nodded. "I-I know them. The girl came looking for me when she found out Walker was also my dad."

“What is she like? Was she with the guy?”

I tried to think back. Honestly, that day was very mentally draining. "Uh... she was short, had glasses, blond hair. She was really smart, like you two," I gestured to Amelia and Natalie. "She was kinda nice, but also kinda mean, but at least not to me.
"I-I didn't talk to the guy a lot, but he was tall, dark hair. He seemed stressed. The girl knocked him out... he was looking for her, traced her to my place. I-I think he worked for my dad."

I frowned a little, “We need to keep an eye out for them.”

"They were so weird! I don't know what was happening half the time, but I think he confessed his huge crush on her or something." I shook my head. "He seemed familiar too, but I don't know why."

I nodded slightly, “That’s interesting, what else do you remember?”

I thought back to the other two girls that came with the guy. But the scary one said that if I told anyone if I was there, I'd be killed... But we are in the middle of the apocalypse. But, it wasn't important anyways.
"I... don't know, it was a long time ago, sorry."

“That’s ok, thank you.”

I nodded and slumped in my seat.

I could tell that Nat was worrying about something, but didn’t push her about it yet.

Draven: I gently brushed my thumb along her shoulder. "You okay?"

Nat: “Yeah, just thinking.”

I nodded and leaned back in my seat a bit before looking out the window.

"Sounds good," I mumbled, drumming my fingers on my legs.

I pulled over cause we were low on gas and got out.

I got out with her and pulled out my knife, twirling it in my hand, keeping guard.

I quickly refilled the tank.

I kept an eye on her as well as down the roads. Nothing to see, nothing to hear.

I put the empty cans back and got in the car.

I climbed in after her.

I double checked the map, then kept driving.

I slid the map into my lap and studied it. "We have a couple days until we get there, don't we?"
