The Power of the Eyes

I heard several guns clicking. "Melanie, whatever your going to do right now, don't," I said, struggling against the restraints again.

"Right, ok." I sat down in the chair.

"Try that again, you'll hear more than clicking from those guns," Mr. Gray said, snapping the band on her wrist before two armed men tied her down... again.

I nodded a bit making it look like I was beaten, they didn't know that I had disabled the machines that stopped Emma and Brayden from using there abilities.

i sighed in relief but kept struggling in my restraints. I've struggled so may times my skin was turning red and started to sting. I wanted to use my powers again as my eyes stung. This time enough i had to shut my eyes and clench my teeth

I still struggled. "We shouldn't be too far now," he said.

I sighed a tiny bit, I guess the best way to show them what I had done was to heal Emma and Brayden carefully so the government wouldn't see, I started by healing their wrists.

I felt a small bit of relief in my wrist. I glanced down and saw they were healing. I avoided looking at Melanie.

I stopped, that was all I was willing to risk.

If she could use her powers, then me and Braydon might be able to as well...

I nodded slightly as if saying, 'Yeah, you can.'

I felt my wrists getting better and i glanced at Melanie than back at myself. If she could use her powers that easily with the wristband on than we could be trying to hard. I let out a small breath and closed my eyes. I was just going to wait until later to use them.

I felt the car come to a stop. We were untied, but I was blindfolded, and I snuck a peak to see Braydon and Melanie were as well.

And out we go, wow déjà vu...

I felt two people hold my arms behind my back.

I felt me being blind folded then taken of the restraints. Several men were holding me, pushing me forward. I smiled a bit and let them carry me off. I then felt as we entered a building, it smelt... Like a hospital with the smell of gloves and rubber. I heard a scream from far off and i almost tripped over my own feet.

"I don't get why you're blindfolding me," I mumbled, "I've been here before..." They blindfolded me anyway and I sighed, it had been worth a shot, I guess they were being more careful this time. I felt myself being pulled inside.

I tried to move a bit so I was closer to Braydon, though I had no idea where he was.

I wanted to use my powers but i couldn't see anything that was there since i was blind folded. I thought of something that would be in a place like this, something that would be on a main desk. I thought of a stapler and i heard a click of a stapler, but no one was surprised. I walked on like nothing had happened

Alright, what do these idiot guard people see... I focused on their thoughts mainly the thoughts of what they were seeing, some people didn't realize this, but everything you see goes through your brain and is thought about before you see it... perfect, now if only I could show Brayden...

I struggled a bit harder, trying to yank my arms from their grips. I was not going down without a fight!

I tried again but made it click repeatedly. I kept walking on like i wasn't doing it. They looked around and they started to question. Now if i could only find something more useful.

Alright, I had an idea, I could show them what everything looked like with an illusion. I focused and sent the illusion to their brains on a wall I wrote 'This is an illusion, but it should show you exactly what's going on around you.'

I looked around. I could see... Hey, I potted plant. I yanked my arms still, but they were getting restless. While they pushed me down onto the ground to tie my arms behind me, I focused on the plant's leaves slowly growing, and going to twist around their ankles.

'I hope this helps,' I added to the wall. Healing and Illusions weren't my natural abilities, they developed from the mind reading so, they more me out, but I wasn't going to tell them that.
