"Thank you!" I walked inside and carefully laid down so I was far enough that he wouldn't change. As I closed my eyes I felt him gently put his arms around me again far enough that he wouldn't change. I smiled a tiny bit and fell asleep almost instantly. Hopefully Luke won't murder him...

I pulled out my book collection. I had two books, basically, from my jacket. A nice Harry Potter book. Or something I picked up from Japan.

Rachel headed back inside, but I didn't follow. Instead I headed for the park. No one was there, so I pulled myself onto the monkey bars and lay across them. Why I always headed for the monkey bars was a mystery, even to me. Life was more random than I'd expected, one minute you're working for evil people and almost dying... repeatedly, and the next everything is calm. It seemed too calm, too good to be true. I wondered what life had in store for me next.
