Eventually, they did get to work, even the altos but I was reduced to just singing in the background with a few other girls. As we were rehearsing a bit, I felt someone throw a pencil at me.

The group glared at me like it was my fault. "I-I don't want t-to be a main singer," I stuttered, looking down. "Good," the girl who had taken charge said.

"Alright hear me out, I want them to be main singers because they weren't forced into being altos, you can rotate singers, but I want all four of them to be leads at least once."

"Teacher's pet," a girl hissed as me, low enough so he wouldn't hear it. Eventually, I got a one line solo, but that's more than they wanted to give me.
