We walked into the shop, a little bell jingling as the door opened. "Ah, hello! I've been expecting you!" said the shop keeper. "How have you been expecting us? I was only here yesterday for a brief time." I said.

I glanced at Lyle.
"I have my ways. Now, I would like to inform you of a sale we have." He pointed to rows of hooks with gloves attached.

"Why would I need gloves?" I asked, confused. "Let me see your hand." he said. I held out my left hand and he rolled his eyes. "No, dummy, your OTHER hand." I did as he said, though I was reluctant to know what he was going to do. "That, son, is why you need gloves. You don't want just anyone to see that mark, do you?" he said, pointing at my hand. He was right. If the right people saw it, soon everyone in town would think I had gotten a tattoo and I would be grounded for the rest of my life. "Right. How much?" I asked.

"Free? Regular? I've only been here one other time! But okay... If you insist..." I said, grabbing a pair. They were light blue and went up to my elbows, but they fit over my jacket so I was okay. "They fit very nicely, almost like they were made for me. Haha, they fit like a glove!" I said, laughing.

I showed the map to Lyle. "See, here's the shop, where the circle was. Here it is now." I pointed as I spoke.

I looked where she was pointing. "Oh. Hey, isn't that the old church?" I asked, pointing at an area right next to the circle.

"What does that mean?"

I nodded. everyone had hard times, but he said it in a way that made me think he knew exactly what would happen. The thought was crazy. He couldn't know.
"I will be." I told the shop keeper then turned to Lyle. "Let's go."

"Yup." I started on our way to the old church. When we were younger, we always used to pretend there was treasure in the basement. I smiled, remembering the memories.
