"You can read my mind? Wicked!" I said. Her power truly amazed me. I was then reminded that Markus had somewhat stated that I was the odd kid in school. I was the only one without any powers. But that was okay. I was always odd, but now, I had no one in the whole school to connect with.
But, it didn't matter. My mentor always taught me it was about honor, not glory. And I knew it, I lived by that.
Wait, was my first thought I this subject? Oh well, might as well write that scene in my head, then forget most of it. Never mind. Where was my sword?

Grey (the boy with the sword's pov):
I brought the glowing sword to my mentor. "look! See what I found!" He raised his hand to his forehead.
"You were supposed to kidnap a person. Not a sword."
"But look how cool thi--"
"I don't care how cool it is."
I almost scoffed aloud when he said that. Of course he doesn't care. He was the most boring person I had ever met. "Maybe it could lure some one to us!"
He rolled his eyes, "We'll see."
Then we heard two people walk by. One mentioned country music and the other mentioned reading minds. I almost stopped to listen but Instead, I jumped out of the bushes.
"Attack!" I yelled, and started fighting the girl with the black hair. My mentor was going to yell at me for being too impulsive, but he didn't.

Tina POV:
We were walking past some bushes when the boy who had the sword jumped out.
"Hey!" I shouted but then, I passed out. bad timing on my part.

Grey POV:
Suddenly, The girl with long blonde hair passed out, I stopped fighting and left it to my mentor. I dragged the girl away, gagged her, being careful because she was actually quite pretty and then picked her up and ran. I used my third power of teleportation and teleported to The main lab of John Lee. He had given me my two other powers, the cooler two, and also changed my hair color twice. It once was blonde, when I only had super fast reflexes. Then It changed to white, and I gained the ability to control the weather. After some adjustments to the invention, I changed my hair to dark grey and got my third power.

Great. The jerk wad with my sword took advantage of Tina fainting, which I really don't blame her for, and captured the both of us. Gah, I hated getting captured! All my enemies targeted me because I was the youngest on my team! I knew how to break out of everything but being strapped to a table.
I've never been part of a science experiment, but a knife sharpener for the most part to scare my team into surrendering. Queen Victoria should consider herself lucky. I've had five attempts on my life in a span of two days!

Shortly after I had teleported, My mentor, who started with teleportation, teleported in next to me.
"Oh, Hey! What's up man? I mean, other than the gagged and passed out girl there."
He just rolled his eyes, then John Lee stepped out of the shadows. I straightened up.
" I see you have brought me two new subjects, nicely done." He bent down and lifted up my prisioner's chin. His eyes widened. "Well done, Grey. I've met this one before. She helped Markus escape." It wasn't very often he said Markus's name. We had all sworn never to say it in John's presence. He looked to my mentor. "Guard her well. I don't want her escaping. Also, alert me as soon as she wakes up. I don't want to test her until she's conscious."
"Yes sir." My mentor replied, Then looked to me. "Follow."
I picked the girl up again and carried her to the cell we all don't even mention. It was the strongest of all. On the way, my mentor had passed an open cell, put his prisoner in and locked it. He opened cell 25 and I put the girl in. "I'll guard her." I told him.
"No way, we are not guarding her with a newbie."
"I'm not a newbie anymore. I passed the test, I brought John another subject!"
He rolled his eyes again. "There is no way you will be able to guard her She helped 'The one' escape." He said, avoiding Markus's name.
"Let me prove myself!"
He huffed and walked away. I took it as a yes. He was kinda right not to let me guard her, I was starting to admire her. She was a small girl, probably my age, but much shorter. She didn't seem very strong, and she only had one power. She had to be very clever and lucky to out with John, and caring,to risk her life rescuing Markus; and courageous for facing up to John... After a while of guarding her, I realised that if she had just passed out from fear, she would have woken up already. I went into the steel cell, and checked her pulse. Good, she wasn't dead that would have made John mad. I went back to guarding her like normal. Over the rest of that day, I convinced someone to let me take their shift, to "prove" myself, but now, it really was more. Being lost in my thoughts ever since my shift started, I had grown from just guarding her, to protecting her. John had to be out for revenge on her, just like he was on Markus.
