Tumblr Academy reimagined

Kira: I looked over at Olivia, seeing the upset look on her face. I offered her some of my gummy worms.

Liv: I sighed softly, "Thanks, but I'm probably the last person you want on a sugar high."

Artemis: I was analyzing all the tech in this place trying to figure out how it all worked I could "invent" a lot of it in my world, but then Holly would be disappointed in me... again... hmm...

((Just so you know I have work from 1-close so I'll probably be off by 12 or 12:15 so I can run to the store before.))

((Okay!))

I smiled a bit. "Suit yourself."

((I also work but mines at 5-9. In Nic defense tho, he couldn't just leave one concussed person to deal with 8 horses by themselves. And in my defense I have a plan))

I saw was time it was. Almost 8. Everyone had been through a long day. I glanced at everyone. "I paid for motel rooms for everyone," I told them. "We should rest up tonight and go from there tomorrow."

I gave him a thumbs up. "Sounds good to me!"

I glanced at Alistair and Aiden worriedly. "Should we give them another minute?" I wondered aloud. I didn't want to push anyone too hard right now. It made sense that those closest to Nic would need to take a moment to recover.

Aiden: I stood up, wiping my eyes. "I'm good, let's go."

Liv: I nodded slightly and followed them to the hotel, pulling Artemis along when I realized he wasn't following.

I nodded slightly and turned to lead the way to the motel, making a reminder to try and be less blunt with the others for a while. Once at the motel I headed inside and grabbed the room keys for everyone and passed them out.

Liv: I took my room key and thanked him quietly, Artemis just took his key so I nudged him and he mumbled a thank you.

Alistair: I said thank you, but Aiden was very unresponsive. I think he was trying to trap himself inside his own head.

"No problem," I replied. I gently patted Aiden's arm. "Try to get some rest tonight. I can show you guys around--including the tech of the area--tomorrow."

I nodded and slipped into my room.

((So by the end of this summer my work may be losing not only both team leads which my friend and I have already been promised their positions, but also our assistant manager which my manager doesn't know yet... so yeah that's going to be fun. We all hate the assistant manager, but now the question is who is my manager going to promote to that positition))

((Yeesh. All but two of my favorite co-workers have left in the past couple months and it sucks to work without the rest of them. I cannot take it any more.))
I headed to my own room, kicking the "android parking station" roughly as I walked past it. I couldn't believe that some of them were still standing. I sent a quick message to Markus about it as I entered my room. He'd send someone to take it down within a couple of days.

((Dang. I have no idea what I'm supposed to say in an interview, which is in 3 hours.))

Alistair: I walked to my room, thinking. Maybe it was better for Nic to be where he belonged, to be in a place he could be comfortable and himself in.
Aiden: I just laid down on my bed, staring at the ceiling, lost in thought.

((Just be honest with your answers. And smile.))
I shut down overnight. I stepped out of my room the next morning and walked around for a bit before waiting at a bench for the others to get up.

((Got it. But what if I draw a blank and don't know how to answer at all?))

Kira: I woke up and was doing some morning exercises. I had done a couple stretches, some sit ups, now I was doing some jogging around the block, then I noticed Matt. "Sup, Motow," I called, jogging over to him.

((Just answer as best as you can))

I sighed. "My name is Matt," I replied, glancing at her. "What time did you get up?"

((Got it.))

"I don't know, about an hour ago. I've been doing some exercises, but now I'm starving."

"What kind of food do you want?" I asked her, already searching for restaurants that were cheap nearby. I didn't have a ton of money to waste on expensive things for the others. It was enough to get by, but they'd have to settle for inexpensive things here.

"Anything, I'm not picky. Hey, I'll take a box of doughnuts if you're strapped for cash. I don't need a full meal, and I definitely don't need a healthy one."

"There's a bakery two blocks down," I told her. "Did you want to go pick up a dozen to share with the others when they get up?" The bakery had good reviews and from pictures they seemed like they were actually quite nice despite the low price. They seemed like something that Artemis might be willing to put up with.

"Yeah, share with the others, sure." I smirked a bit. Yeah, I was being sarcastic, but I like to think I was being funny too. "Let's go."

I paused for a moment, not wanting to just leave the others but stood up anyway, leading the way to the restaurant. Once outside I stopped, scowling at the familiar "No Androids Allowed" sign on the window. I tossed Kira enough money to pay for the dozen doughnuts and stood off to the side of the doors to wait.
