((Please please please find some trustworthy sources of info because the news is just going after emotion and they will do and say whatever they need to to get that emotion and views. I'm not trying to be mean or sound mean and I'm sorry if I am. I'm just trying to look at facts.))

I gently placed my hand over her own. "We just lost a friend and I know you're homesick too."

"I was never really all that close to Nic which sounds harsh, but it's true and who says I'm homesick?"

"I know what homesickness looks like, I've seen it with so many people. You can't tell me that you don't want to be home right now because we all do."

((I kinda realized something. In Season 13, the season finale's episode was called "Let the Good Times Rolls" which I wonder if it's a line in the song: "Thnks fr th Mmrs" by Fall Out Boy because the next line is "in case God doesn't show."))

((Okay this is gonna be long, but so were all of your posts. Mine is just as one long post. Yeesh this all stemmed from semi-out-of-context information from a video game y'all know next to nothing about. It does relate a lot to racism throughout the game. It's a lot of "learning to be human". But here's the short synopsis of the game:
Markus, a caretaker android, deviates and ends up leading Jericho, the group of androids behind the android rebellion. In the version that Matt is based off of it's peacefully and leads people to accept androids and open peace talks about it to free them all, but it's still fresh so not all businesses and people have gotten past things yet.
Connor is a detective android who is sent to try and hunt down deviants while learning what makes them deviate, and in this version deviating as well and joining the android revolution instead of turning the Jericho. He learns a lot about some of the dark sides of human treatment of androids.
Kara is a household assistant andriod who deviates to save a little girl from her terrible excuse for a father and ends up becoming a mother for her while they're hiding from authorities (and Connor in the beginning). They leave Detroit and make it to Canada because the android revolution is happening and everyone is freaking out.
There are people who are actively against androids because they have taken jobs and now the unemployment rate for people is at like 36% or something insane like that. And the androids get the jobs whether they want to or not because they're free to do the work aside from buying the android, but they don't require a wage, and they're supposed to just perform tasks they're assigned to without questioning because it's their coding.
In this verion everyone lives and everything is done peacefully to let androids and people work together to live in harmony. It's shortly after this so peace talking is still happening but things have calmed down while new laws are being made to accept androids as citizens and "humans" effectively (hence the name Detriot Become Human).

And on the topic of deportation and illegal immigration I'll try to keep it short but gotta get my thoughts out there: I personally feel that if someone came for good reasons and have been in the US for a certain time period they shouldn't be deported, and if they were born and raised here to me that makes them citizens. I don't understand why people get so upset about immigration. But any kind of family separation when trying to enter the country is beyond awful. The Trump administration separates kids because they think that being harsh will prevent people from trying to get into the country. But children should NEVER be taken from their families, unless those families are toxic (ie. negligent and/or abusive). Taking kids from families is traumatic for the entire family,especially the kids. Only the way people are getting outraged about this is making them stop it. But we can't expect things to actually change for the better or anything good to get passed because THE MAJORITY OF THE PEOPLE IN EVERY PART OF THE GOVERNMENT IS REPUBLICAN (which I gotta get out there because people always argue with me that everyone's voice is heard and just because the President is Republican doesn't mean everyone else wont get heard. Except the majority of congress is Republican. So the majority of them, not every Republican as I am aware, would vote to pass things that democrats and liberally-minded people hate, cutting out the opinions of about half of the country)!

And Jaydinn, you're talking about SPN season 13? In which case it most definitely is a reference. SPN has SO many episodes that are titled after different rock (classic and alt.) songs. And some oldies pop songs I've noticed as well.))

I sighed slightly and decided to finally shoot Connor a message back, apologizing for disappearing and asking if he and Hank were free sometime today. I figured that if I could talk to anyone about the craziness with all my companions then it would be my... well, my family. Hank was as close as Connor and I got to having a father, and I was well aware that Connor was practically my brother. Our models have similar facial structures.

Kira: I continued eating, trying not to be obnoxious about it. "Man, I wish I had some milk to dunk this in," I muttered. "Chocolate milk, since I got some exercise in today." I looked at Matt. "Do you need to eat, dude?"

"Androids don't eat," I replied. "That's likely part of why they wouldn't have wanted androids in their store. Why would we need to go into a bakery if we don't eat?"

"To chill with friends?" I asked, shrugging. "What happens if you do eat, or is that not recommended because you don't have a digestive system?"

"We don't have digestive systems," I replied. I gestured to my chest. "It's all just different parts and bio-components pieced together throughout us."

"That's cool!"

I shrugged a little bit. Not eating was just natural to me but I understood how it could be fascinating for someone who was so new to this kind of thing. From what I knew none of the others had been around androids until I got dragged into Nic's world. I wondered briefly what was taking Artemis so long to get up. I would have thought that he would have been up early trying to understand everything about all of my world's technology.

I closed the box of doughnuts. I'll probably save them for the others. "So, what's on the agenda, what are we supposed to do?"

((Hmm, we might be able to continue a bit if you bring out Aiden and just add it to your last post. With all of them out I feel like Matt would be willing to leave a note on their doors with where they went and let the others find them))

"I'll head us over to see my family," I told her. "They're detectives, so they should have heard something about some weird things that could have to do with someone else's villain."

"Weird things, huh? You wouldn't happen to have newspapers in this world, would you? Finding weird things in the papers and internet is kinda what I do for a living."
