Dragon Born Reboot

Alexander: I didn't quite know how to phrase it. "They work for your dad..."
Adrina: I hummed a bit, concerned, but I had no answers for her.

Ash: “That would make sense...”
Marina: “It’ll be ok right?”

Alexander: "But..." I sat down. "To... recruit us... for his army. I think." I looked at Regan for help.
Adrina: I gently patted her arm. "I hope so."

Regan: “He wants halflings on his side because they’re powerful.”
Asher: “Again, makes sense.”
Marina: “You don’t sound very confident...”

Alexander: "But... his side... he's advocating genocide, Ash. For the destruction and enslavement of humans."
Adrina: "Because I can only have hope. I don't know the future."

Ash: “I didn’t say I agreed with it, I said his actions make sense.”
Marina: I nodded slightly, “That makes sense.”

Alexander: I shrugged and looked at our dragons.
Adrina: "Your majesty!" I looked to the side and saw one of my attendants. "Already?" I asked. He nodded grimly. I sighed and turned back to my daughter. "I'm afraid this is where our talk ends, Marina."

Regan: “we were alsotold that they genuinely want what’s best for us, they’re just still young and loyal to their king.”
Marina: “What’s going on? Can I help?”

((Ugh headache, sorry, Night))

Alexander: "Yeah. There's no way those little guys could hurt us." Terriam was too adorable to be dangerous.
Adrina: "Unfortunately, it's royal matters that I must attend to. Just declaring war is all," I gave a bitter chuckle. "You must leave. I'm sure your friends are worried about you."

((So, like, how the dragon king also kidnaps halflings? I feel like at at least Alexander and Regan probably get captured then tortured to get the other to pledge loyalty and that's how that happens.))

Regan: I nodded slightly and watched Ash.
Ash: “Yeah.”
Marina: “How do I get back? They brought me through a portal...”

Alexander: It went kind of silent until there was some rustling noises. I looked over and saw Leandro stumble out of the tent. He muttered something groggily in Spanish.
Adrina: "As you discover and grow your powers more, you'll be able to do this yourself. For now, one of my attendants will help you out." I turned to face her. "Hold out your hand."

Regan: “How are you feeling Leandro?”
Marina: I nodded slightly and held my hand out.

Leandro: It took me a second to register what she said in English to translate it to my head in Spanish, longer than usual. "Eh... la," I cleared my throat. "Head cotton."
Adrina: I placed a small sea shell into her palm and closed her fist for her. "Whenever you need to talk to me," I explained. "I'll try not to let you go to... human term, uh... voice mail!"

Ash: “You should keep resting.”
Marina: I smiled slightly, “Thank you mom.”

Leandro: "I'm fine," I muttered as I slowly made my way to sit down on a log. "Where's Marina?"
Adrina: I smiled so wide when she called me mom. "You're welcome." One of my attendants came. "Ready, madam." I nodded and turned back to Marina. "Remember, Leandro may be good, but he's the outlier in sirens. And check your friend's shoulders regularly. To pledge loyalty is to advocate for genocide."

Marina: “You said he’s kidnapping them too, what if they’re forced to?”
Ash: “Still talking to the mermaids apparently.”
((Ooh Fae can’t break oaths))

((Oh, that's true.))

Adrina: I sighed. "Then the only way to free them is to end the war. Tell me, do you have fae halflings in your friend circle?"
Leandro: I shot up immediate and tried running to the water, but I lost my balance when the forest started spinning around and I fell.

Marina: “Regan and Alex.”
Ash: I quickly pulled him back, “I’m sure she’s fine.”

Adrina: I nodded solemnly. "Fae can not break oaths. If they vow to fight his war, they must or they will die from the breech of contract. However, if they vow to, say, help the dragon king, then a simple task, such as pointing him in the right direction to the bathroom will suffice to the oath. So long as no war is mentioned when the fae close the agreement."
Leandro: "How long as she been there?" I eased myself back onto a log as Sina climbed into my lap.

Marina: “I’ll make sure they know, they’re pretty good at talking themselves out of stuff.”
Ash: “I don’t know a few hours.”

Adrina: I nodded. "That's good. I'll have a personal lieutenant of mine to assist you in your miscellaneous needs once I declare my allegiance. He's someone I trust more than anyone else in my realm. He'll be like... a body guard, if you will."
Leandro: I almost jumped back up, but headache said no.

Marina: I nodded slightly, “I should probably head back.”
Ash: “She’ll be back.”

Adrina: I nodded and beckoned my attendant over. He held out a hand to Marina. "Come with me, ma'am," he addressed her.
Leandro: I nodded and started to try to calm down.

Marina: I hugged my mom for a second, then followed the attendant.
Ash: I leaned back a bit.
