FEBRUARY'S Fun Prompt!

I chuckled. "You know, I can tell the Olympians not to mess with you. Zeus wets his pants each time sees me; Mars runs and hides like some four-year-old."

"Eh its fine I'm not scared of them."

"Good; you shouldn't be. Still, I think they'll leave you alone once they figure out you're dating the boy who they... well, you know..." talking about it shook me up a bit, but not usually so much as one would think. "And who then went and knocked them all out for a couple of years in a very painful way."

"Dating?"

I suddenly realized it had slipped from my mouth. "Ummm... Well isn't that what humans are calling it when a male and a female are in a..." then I realized she might mean something else. "Oh... Sorry, I assumed you felt the same way..." My heart sunk. Why did she kiss me if she didn't want to be with me? "I, ah..." I started to get up, feeling more terrible than anything I'd felt before. It was like a harrow was being dragged through my soul.

"Wait no I do feel the same way its just normally people go on a few dates before they say their dating that's all," I quickly explained pulling him back before he left.

A wave of releif flowed through me, sealing the tears in my heart. "Ah... Sorry; I don't know very many human references to it..."

"It's totally fine," I told him smiling, then looked at the project, "hmm well this one is almost done..."

"Yes. You wouldn't happen to have some extra platinum, would you? Or lead? Lead's pretty easy to transmute."

"let me check," I quickly stuck my hand in one of the pockets and pulled out some lead then handed it to him, "here."

"Thank you..." I checked over the arm quickly, looking for something I'd seen before. I concentrated lightly on the lead, forming a couple of platinum wires and discs and placing them carefully.

"Now just a little more magic..." I mumbled quietly then put my hand over it concentrating, "there."

I touched the limb lightly. "Wow. That, ah, I guess you would say enchantment is pretty solid... more than I would expect from an Olympian."

"Thanks, I guess that's what happens when you combine powers."

"Guess so... you're pretty amazing. I wonder what it's like; having genetic abilities."

I blushed, "Well they aren't really all genetic, actually I'm not sure how the whole thing works, but what I heard was that I'm naturally a daughter of Poseidon, but the other Olympians basically injected me with some of their blood when I was a baby, and I can just choose when to use it. That's why I have different personalities."
