FEBRUARY'S Fun Prompt!

((Addie, you're a Japanese fanatic and you don't know where Asia is?)) "Anything about monks?"

"No." I blushed a little since I didn't know, but I had never exactly traveled much to sight see.

"I'm not talking like actual deep knowlege, just the stuff you hear about as a kid -- finding your inner peace; controling your fate; channeling your chi. Did you ever hear about any of that?"

"Maybe a little, but the Olympians don't really let us find out about other things."

"Really? I mean, I can understand why after you ran away, but before back when we were little America was all over joking about that stuff."

"Technology attracts monsters so I didn't use it."

"I see... that would explain it. Well, that kind of puts a damper on my speech."

I laughed a bit, "sorry."

I smiled. "It's fine... well, I guess I'll tell you anyway. Lots of people think that stuff -- monks who can levitate, or that are at a higher level of spirituality or whatever -- but that's actually wrong. Monks who do all of the meditation and soul-seeking actually can do all of that, and it's actually kind of how lanterns are able to create light constructs. But it's also how alchemy is performed, or, if you know as much as I do, you can do incredible things, such as make dilapidated bones go back to normal. It's a bit different than how it sounds... it's not magic or anything. It's kind of cool." ((Sorry for the delayed post.))

"That is pretty cool."

"Yeah. This might feel a little wierd." I focused on her knee, feeling its contours beneath my hand and then focusing upon my knowlege of how a knee should feel. I focused on the images I'd gleaned of the inside, still peering through her skin with electromagnetic waves. Her knee startedf to shift, some cracks sealing and some bumps lowering, redistributing evenly to where the bone should have been. I kept focusing, healing her slowly.

I winced slightly and bit my lip it hurt yes, but it was easily manageable.

I felt Olivia's tension and opened my eyes. "You okay?"

"I'm fine it isn't too bad."

(((I asked "Where IN Asia" not "Where IS Asia." I am a Japanese fanatic, so I was wondering what part of Asia's culture you were talking about. But, Buddism and monks was actually very widespread. The whole "Zen" thing is still a part of modern Japan. Every house has a garden. )))

((Oi, it's not just Bhuddist monks.)) "Alright."

I did my best to sit still so he didn't mess up at all, but sitting still is hard so I ended up fidgeting more than I wanted to.

((Although Bhuddism is mostly credited for it, and I think it's across most of Eurasia.))

I chuckled as Olivia tried not to fidget. "it's fine if you move around a bit; just don't scoot around or bend over too much."

"Ok thanks." I had a couple pipe cleaners in my pocket, why I don't know, but at least it was something I could mess with.

I closed eyes again as Olivia pulled something from her pocket. I shoved a couple of waves out at her hands, picking up the image when they returned. "Pipe cleaners?"

"I don't know either, I have a lot of random stuff..."

I grinned. "I guess by now I shouldn't be surprised."

"No probably not for all I know I have a cell phone in my backpack, and I've never owned one..."

I laughed. "You're not a theif, I hope?"
