The Power of the Eyes

((I called a guy an idiot today for what he plays and what he tried to say as a comeback made him sound even more like an idot because he didn't think through his head at what I had said... lol I told my friends about it and they cracked up... and my mom thought he was dumb to... lol))

"Well, we were just going to go to my house to look at some of my artwork, but we don't HAVE to go there. We could go somewhere else. I don't mind." I said, silently being a jerk, which surprised me. I'd never had real friends either, so I should be more considerate and empathic, but instead, I was wishing all these bad things on this poor girl. "Um, I'll be right back. I have something I need to do very quickly." I said. I walked away, but not too far, and smacked myself. These thoughts were dangerous for me to have. They could become real and I would be to blame. I smacked myself again. She was in close to the same boat I had been in since I my first first day of school.

I concentrated and felt my eyes turn silver, alright easy part done now comes the hard part changing them back.

I didn't think she liked me. I frowned slightly, hoping my hair hid it. I looked at my shoes. I should just leave these two alone.

((No he was one of the mean popular people who play with Kendamas or whatever... I mean I have one but I don't play the actual game. And I only said it once. I didn't say anything back because I was heading to Maverick. But still and I'm not trying to be offensive but still it was kind of funny but in a weird way I mean it wasn't... well I will just shut up...))

I was surprised. Melissa seemed tense, and she was definitely ill-disposed towards the other girl... I turned to her. "Al, right?"

((I'm finally caught up! I went to a dance with my mom, and it was lame!!))

"I go by Al, yeah." I told him. I didn't want to sound rude by not knowing his name when he remembered mine. I stayed quiet, hoping that he would just tell me.

I chuckled. "It's okay to ask, you know. I'm Lexile. My close friends call me Lex. Some call me Ruth."

((Babe Ruth! The Great Bambino!))

"Ruth?" I asked. How did they get Ruth from Lexile?

I kept smacking myself, trying to knock some sense into my head. I shouldn't feel this way, I hardly knew her! I started crying. "I'm sorry. I'm so sorry." I whispered. I fell to my knees and started sobbing. I felt so bad about those thoughts. As you can tell, I'd never felt that way towards someone before, and I didn't like it. "I'm so, so, so sorry!" I cried. ((Brb))

I chuckled. "Last name." I smiled. I snapped around as I heard Melissa's whispers. "One sec," I said to Al. I rushed to her side, kneeling beside her. "What... what's wrong? What did you do?"

I concentrated on turning my eyes back to blue and could tell it was working but then a child crying out in pain got my attention I quickly ran over to the girl and saw that her arm was broken.
"It's ok, you're going to be all right," I said as I carefully checked her arm she was still crying, but had calmed down a bit. I closed my eyes in concentration and healed her arm when I opened them she was staring at me in amazement I winked and held a finger to my lips. She nodded once and I handed her a sucker from my bag then walked away as she ran off to play with her friends.

((Okay I will try to post.)) I was walking around the school talking to the guys when I saw Emma again. They all stopped and stared with me, some of them nudged me and smirked. I walked over to her and grabbed her by the shirt and dragged her away from the guys into a blind spot. "Now pretend like I'm bullying you alright? And I will play along... Okay?" I told her starting to act being like a bully and hitting her

"When someone gets into a fight with me, I'm normally the victor! You're lucky I let you get the last word last time!" I said, but went along with it anyway.

((Jerk. A eral friend shouldn't have to pretend they're a jerk. Theyi could jsut give up their jerky friends... Idea!))

Lexile was nice. I liked him more than almost every person I'd meant, since fiction people don't count. Since I doubted that they wanted me to see whatever was going on I climbed the tree I was standing by and pressed my back against it, closing my eyes.

I decided to give her some time; besides, theere was someone being beat up, fakely, and I wanted to teach another lesson. I leapt high, flying over the school and landing beside a boy pretending ot hit a girl. I winked at a group of bullies, then grabbed the boy by the shirt. "Didn't anyone ever teach you not to hit a girl?"

"Hey just be lucky I actually like you instead of hating you because it would have gotten worse after you might have gotten the last word..." I whispered as I finished and walked away and went back to the guys. "Shes finished with, now go home!" I said shooing them all away. I walked back to her, "so you can do this to huh?" I said Making my eyes swirl with firey color. I grabbed a rose from outside that in had envisioned. It came floating towards Emma and it landed in her hair, it hadn't fully bloomed yet and was still a bit green. "So what can you do? I've just showed you mine, so now you show me yours..."

I grabbed the boy again. "Sorry; time for that later." I leapt waaaay up, breathing in. A gust of wind caught us. "So, my friend. I've been observing you." I grinned to him. "Nice touch with the rose. It compliments your cowardice."

I decided to give up on turning my eyes back to blue someone would probably notice the color change anyway so instead I gathered my stuff and walked back to the school I could hear some of the people I had sat with at lunch, well their thoughts, but it's pretty much the same thing.
