The Power of the Eyes

((My character just didn't want to start another fight... and I definitely didn't want another one either...)) I stopped "really? We could go and get something to eat... it's on me?" I asked her

"I'd like that, but we can split it, though," I offered.

I watched in shock. My hand reached for my necklace that my mother had sent but it didn't grab it. The necklace wasn't there. I felt my neck again, hoping I had just missed it. It still wasn't there. I dug through my backpack quickly, hoping it was there. It wasn't. I panicked.

I watched them carefully. There were always people like this boy. At the very botto. Lying at every turn. Never making rea friends. REfusing to learn anything. I sighed. There was nothing I could do to help him, and if people wanted to be hurt byi him, that was their choice. I backed away. I haged situations like this. Nothing I could do to help. No one who wanted my help, but so many who needed it.

"Alright" I said. I then looked at the guy I gave him a glare. I turned back, "so where do want to go?"

((Yeah. I'm fine. I'm sore so my legs tried to buckle underneath me...))
Where was it? Where was the necklace? I set my backpack down for a moment and dashed for the school. Was it still unlocked? Had I lost it in there?

"Not sure, I've only been here a month. But, do you know any places with good fries?" I asked.

I chuckled at the glare. If only he knew just how much I cared for him. How much I didn't want him to get hurt. It was the purpose of my whole freaking life now to help people... to protect people. I loved every person I met like family. LIke they were my little siblings, like they were my parents, my older siblings. I saw no other way for me to live. I couldn't hate the boy like he could hate me. It saddned me to see people hurt themselves and others like this, but I couldn't do anything.

"I'm not sure... would you like to go to Wagons?" ((I think that's a place... I have been there before just can't remember it's name...)) I said walking towards my car.

((Would you possibly mean Chuck-a-Rama?))

((No... it's the place that has a small restaurant and a wagon as their sign...))

((Huh... in Utah, that could be like half the restaurants...))

"Sure, as long as it isn't a Chinese place. I don't know why, but I don't like Chinese food except for fortune cookies!" I said.

The school was already locked. I fought back tears. My mom had bought that for me in England after she'd moved. Now it was gone. I slowly walked back over to my backpack and picked it up.

((Huh... in Utah, that could be like half the restaurants.))

((I had a fortune cookie yesterday. It tasted like cardboard.))

((Well it's the only one of its kind I've seen in Utah, I believe it's in Ogden though...))

I saw al by the school; heard the tears running down her cheeks. I hurried over. "What's wrong?"
