The Power of the Eyes

Name: Melissa Emrys Raya Lynn Ilizabeth Northenburg
Age: 16
Eye color: Blue-green, but flashes golden-yellow when her power activates
Power: Magic, like Merlin on Merlin. Also like Merlin, she's had her power since birth
Looks besides Eyes: Long dark brown hair and a modernized Merlin outfit
Personality: Good question. We'll see.

It may have been the first day of the third term, but it was my first day at a new school. Again. My eyes always caused me trouble, flashing yellow and causing some sort of mess that almost always landed me in the principals office. Once in first grade, the teacher had told us that the best way to tell principle, a rule or something like that, from principal, the leader of the school, is that the principal is your pal, but it was always the opposite for me. Oh well. Time to start all over. Again.

(((Haha, good point. My Character: Isabella Iestneth Lyon. Goes by Issa.
Looks: Loki emerald green eyes, gold when her mood changes or magic happens. Long straight black hair. Often wears fandom shirts, her favourite: Loki shirt. Her glasses are gold and green.
Personality: A little sarcastic and secluded, but always is very sensitive, and caring. 
Powers: Illusions, Telekinesis, Shape-shifting (Loki Powers!)
Quirk: Slight British Accent from watching a lot of British Television and quoting Loki/ Tom Hiddleston.)))

I shut my locker, looking down at the stack of supplies I  was holding. On top was a new book. I was excited to get started in it. I stepped into the crowded hall, not really paying attention. Just my luck, I ran into someone and my stuff was scattered. I sighed. "Sorry I bumped into you." I was still looking the other way, deciding if I really wanted to pick up everything.

"Oh, no, I'm sorry. I wasn't looking where I was going." I said to the girl. I bent down and started picking up her stuff.

"Um, thanks. These aren't mine, though, they're hers." I said, motioning to the girl I had bumped into.

"Issa." I nodded, stiffly introducing myself. "Thanks." I tacked on, to be polite.  Although, in my head, I was far from polite. 'Why am I still talking to these people?' 

((Okay, here's my character: Lexile Ruth,
Eye color: changes; is usually a deep, fiery red surrounded by a fire-blue ring. 
Looks: Very, very tall; about 6-6, chocolate brown hair, powerful air, always wears a big, dark trenchcoat that reaches his ankles, and a collared shirt beneath. 
Powers: Besides invincibility, he can create longitudinal waves, similar to sound but on a larger scale, so they can affect matter more, and he's super strong; he can jump over a building in one leap and all that.
How he got his powers: He was an orphan, and was used for military experimentation.
Personality: It depends on who you are.))
I strode through the hall, all of t he kids below me rushing out of the way and letting me pass. They were all scared of me, mostly because I was tall and dark, but they had other reasons. I smiled to a couple I considered to be friends, then put my steely straight face on again. I saw a few girls bending over to pick up books, and thought of stopping. Don't do it, Lex. You'll only mess things up. I pushed the thoughts aside and bent over, handing books to the girl whom it seemed had dropped them. I stood, holding out a hand. "Lexile Ruth. And you are?"

Eye color: Earthy brown, changes to forest green. So, you can guess that she can control earth, nature, etc.
Appearance: Auburn hair. Wears typically flannel/plad over plain, solid colored t-shirts. Jeans, brown boots. Cowgirl at heart, but doesn't show it.
How she got it: gifted by a stranger she helped when she was younger.
Personality: ...Let me get back to you on that.))

"Um, I'm Melissa." I said as a really tall guy came over and grabbed my books and handed them to me. I had set them down to help pick up Issa's books, but in the confusion they must have gotten knocked over. I'm just glad he handed them to me, and not Issa or Tessa. "Thanks." I said, debating saying more. I looked up into his eyes and kinda... Got lost in there. After a small pause, I blushed and turned away. "See you around." I said before I ducked into the slowing swarm of students around us. I admit, his eyes were a strange sort of beautiful, and very entrancing, but that doesn't give me the right to just casually stare into them! It was really embarrassing! For as long as I could remember, I've always had a fascination with eyes, especially the color and diversity of shape. The human face as a whole is just REALLY complex and amazing, but just a little too hard to draw, at least for me. I'd much rather just stick with eyes. And Lexile's eyes were next.
